Ann Geddes doesn't want a "fair and balanced" workout. But the 49-year-old worker for a nonprofit agency is having no luck getting the channel changed in front of her favorite rowing machine at a Columbia gym.
The television happens to be tuned permanently to Fox News. Geddes, a liberal Democrat and former legislative aide to a Howard County delegate, said she can't stomach the conservative lineup that appears nightly as she gets her exercise. Even though the sound is off, the words scrolling across the bottom of the screen infuriate her.

I live in Howard County near Columbia too, Columbia is what ruined HC and is always votes for higher taxes, taxpayer paid housing (actually builds houses), and endless regulations.
I always turn both FNC and MSNBC and CNN on in the gyms I go to. (except weekends)
I know how she feels. It is why I dumped TV in ‘97. But it wasn’t fox news that caused my pain. ;)
....my wife and I belonged to that gym when we lived in Howard County...it was a real posers paradise....full of divorced 40-something MILFs who’d had facework.
Go to another gym, tyrant.
To make it even better, there are 43 monitors, which 3 (yes, 3) are set on Fox. Tolerance, thy name is NOT liberal....

...well, Bob, you done stepped in it there! Be on the lookout for thousands of complaints, boycotts, toilet paper rolls over the gyms, grafitti, protests, the works. Big mouth!
And a letter to our local newsrag had the writer wondering why Beck hasn’t been forced off the air.
After all, he was a Roman Catholic and he was divorced before he converted to be a Mormon.

Given that this is in the NY Metro area and there are no restrictions on the writer’s choices I fail to see why she doesn’t just stick to MSNBC and CANN.
You should post a link to that photo in the comments page of the Sunpapers. That looks awfully similar to what Nanci Pelosi was talking about.

While it no longer applies to me, when making a reservation, I would make sure the TV had FOX, or no deal.
