Man-made geographical high points in southern England and Wales have been observed for centuries, including earthworks, stone monuments like Stonehenge, and hill camps. But something quite unexpected about their distribution may have been verified...

It is a vanity of modern day man to suppose that people living a very primitive life style are less intelligent so that if anything of note was accomplished by them, it’s a great mystery or wonder calling for questions of, “How could such primitive people” do this or that.

These observations and speculations fit perfectly with biblical history. It can be inferred from the biblical account of creation and the Fall that God made the first man as originally perfect, with his descendants gradually degrading over time as genetic corruption occurredWhat empirical evidence does Mr Thomas cite to support this assertion?
"This directly contradicts the erroneous evolutionary concept that ancient man emerged from apes"
This statement is not correct. The Evolutionary theory shows that Modern Men and Apes share a common ancestor. Humans did not come from apes. No qualified person in the scientific community has ever made that claim, including Darwin. All apes and humans are desceneded from a single proto-ape species that lived millions of years ago and no longer exists.
Failure to understand even the basic concepts of the Evolutionary Theory does not help promote your argument.

It is a vanity of modern day man to suppose that people living a very primitive life style are less intelligent so that if anything of note was accomplished by them, its a great mystery or wonder calling for questions of, How could such primitive people do this or that.Considering the lack of 'advanced' technology that we have today, it is almost a 'miracle' that ancient man even survived. Theres this mindset that just because they werent as technologically advanced as we are, or perhaps attributed supernatural causes to things that they had no way of knowing otherwise, that they were stupid. While that is true, there is the other side of that argument:
That just because they dabbled in triangles, and high places and gnomons, does not by any remote means make then "experts" in trigonometry.
Any more than charting the behavior of heavenly bodies over a long period of time make a bunch of savages experts in astrophysics.
