Man-made geographical high points in southern England and Wales have been observed for centuries, including earthworks, stone monuments like Stonehenge, and hill camps. But something quite unexpected about their distribution may have been verified...

When the article was posted on September 14, no caveman was pictured, just the mapping and monument images. On September 15, however, the caveman appeared, as if to reinforce the evolutionary story, and a new title and URL were assigned to the article. Mystery hackers from outer space......

This has been known for years. The animal skin sails that they made were always perfect 30-60-90 triangles. They knew to make the bottom edge 1/2 the hypotenuse.
This is the origin of the term “fur sail sine”.

It’s interesting how surprised some people are about how advanced *primitive* peoples were. There’s this mindset that just because they weren’t as technologically advanced as we are, or perhaps attributed supernatural causes to things that they had no way of knowing otherwise, that they were stupid.
*Primitive* does not equal *stupid*.
If they were that stupid, they wouldn’t have made the gains in knowledge and technology that they did. When one considers the level of knowledge that they were starting from, that they had to figure out what we take for granted, it’s rather amazing the things they were able to accomplish.
While they may have been primitive technology wise, I don’t think that we see that kind of brilliance much more these days.
