The United States has an opportunity to learn from Saskatchewan's leading work in carbon-capture technology, a prominent U.S. politician said Friday, as he offered support to a Saskatchewan-Montana project seeking American government funding.
Saskatchewan, like the U.S., relies heavily on burning coal for power. But U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (Republican-South Carolina) said the province appears to be "ahead of, quite frankly, the world" with carbon sequestration, the process of capturing the gas and storing the CO2 underground.
"What we want to try and do is find out what is working in the area of carbon sequestration, because when you look at reducing your carbon footprint, you've got to put this somewhere," Graham said after arriving in Regina on Friday as part of a congressional delegation with U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan (Democrat-North Carolina).

Lindthee, Lindthee, Lindthee...
C’mon Graham. Why don’t we sequester the carbon in your ... big head.
Lindsey Ping
"Republican by day, Democrat by night."
New policy coming out of Washington. All citizens except blowhard politicians will be required to report to the nearest breath testing facility to be required to take a exhale test for CO2 and will have to purchase carbon credits. /s/
“What we want to try and do is find out what is working in the area of carbon sequestration, because when you look at reducing your carbon footprint, you’ve got to put this somewhere...”
Too easy...
Carbon a rare but oh so sought after element of the universe.
We must capture as much as we can and sell it to those without at a large profit.
Us folks in SC need a "Senator Sequestration" program, where we can capture Lindsay and keep him underground!
Please, please South Carolina spare your state further embarrassment and get this light in the loafers RINO out of the Senate before he can do anymore harm.
Of course terrestrial climate change is real. It has been changing for the last 4.5 billion years.
How did Grahamnesty get his lips away from McCain’s a$$ long enough to make a statement?
I believe that climate change is real too.
It is the human induced climate change theory that is false.
The Earths climate has been in flux for as long as Earth has had a climate. It is in fact impossible that Earth could ever have a stable climate.
All if the major influences of Earths climate are variable.
The Earths orbit is variable. The Earth orbits a variable star that has a variable out put. The tilt of the Earths axis is variable. The convection currents of the Earths oceans that move vast amounts of thermal energy around the planet are variable.
Random events like volcano eruptions can pump huge quantities of ash, water sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide an other material high in to the atmosphere can change the atmospheres reflectivity or change how much of the suns energy will be absorbed by the atmosphere by huge amounts.
If the activities of man kind have any effect on the Earths climate it is too small to be measured next to the changes that are built in to the climacteric system by nature.
These senators need to get a little basic Earth Science education. Go back to High School kids.
LLS
What a waste of money.
Lindshay ... JUST SHUT UP. You loser Democrat.
Climate range is real.
The northern hemisphere is beginning to undergo a cooling period. This cooling period has occurred previously. It is sometimes referred to as “Autumn” or “Fall.”
