Houston Man Slammed Against Car, Ticketed Over Obama ‘Joker’ Posters

.

A Houston man was handcuffed and assaulted by cops for posting anti-Obama flyers around his town, actions described as “criminal vandalism” by police and some local residents, despite the fact that giant pro-Obama murals are openly displayed in the same neighborhood for all to see.

21-year-old Mark Fuhre, an Alex Jones Show listener, decided to post the flyers even though the Infowars Obama Joker Poster Contest had ended, because he wanted to alert his neighbors to the cult of personality being manufactured around Obama and how the establishment is stifling any criticism of the President by constantly invoking racism.

Fuhre believed that he had a first amendment right to express his opinion, just as those that spray painted giant Obama “HOPE” murals in the same neighborhood had done without opposition.

Doubtless we will see it again too.

I can honestly say this is a first. I have never seen a freeper threaten or challenge another one to a fight. And he’s worried about someone else making freepers look bad? Wow.

It doesn’t matter what I say or do, you will still try to accuse me of being a troll. What I find entertaining is that you have yet to all of view my posts, on every topic on freepers that I’ve posted, and point out any liberalism in my arguments. That is because there is no liberalism and I don’t really care what you think.

For someone who doesn’t care what I think, you sure are having a fit.

Actually, I did respond to all of your posts. Please read the posts more carefully.

I respond to your England post, your accusations of being a troll, and you comment about being banned as a n00bie. What other posts have I missed? If I missed one, it wasn’t intentional. It also was not intentional to “piss off” your friends.

I’m just amazed at how many freepers condemn me for simply wanting to know all the facts surrounding this flyer situation. I just assumed most conservatives looked at the facts rather than one person’s claim.

Everyone wants to come the protester’s defense, based on a story only told by the protester. How is that any different than the libs coming to Gate’s defense without first getting all the facts from the cops and bystanders? Too many on here seem to go off half-cocked and I don’t. I didn’t expect to be condemned for that though.

I’m not having a fit. I’m just trying to explain to you my position. That is the purpose of debating.

Oh, and I am a Texan so I don’t appreciate being told to STFU. Those are fighting words here in TX.

I am also a Texan, and we don’t appreciate pompous windbags either.

That is the purpose of debating.

I don't know how ya'll do it in Texas, but here in South Carolina, we don't call challenging a woman to fight a "debate".

well if you don’t like pompous windbags then maybe you should contribute to this debate rather than just insult people that you don’t know.

I provided a conservative argument. I looked at all of your posts and you didn’t provide a single one; you only provided insults.

well in TX if someone tells us to STFU multiple times because that person can’t defend their own arguments, then we just like to give that person a chance to try and shut us the F*** up then.

More circumlocution, huh? And darlin, you insulted yourself with your posts. I merely poured salt in the wound you opened.

I find it hilarious that a freeper, let alone a Texan, would have the audacity to do that.

I don’t think I insulted myself at all. Please tell me how? I’ve asked all 3 of you for your arguments regarding this incident and all 3 of you just keep hurling insults without any substance.

I gave a logical argument that ya’ll then jumped on and said that we should violate the rules/laws if it appears that they are not being applied equally, without actually having proof to that effect.

I advocate knowing all of the facts before jumping to conclusions and then taking action. However, I only think we should work to change the laws we don’t like; not break them, which makes us just like the libs. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

The laws should only be broken if the laws are oppressive or not representative of the people and the people have no legal recourse to change those laws (as in the England example).

Regardless, I am only stating that the full facts of this situation are not yet known so NOBODY (including me, as I’ve stated before) can draw a conclusion as to fault. I can’t believe that at least 3 freepers disagree with knowing all of the facts before jumping the gun.

I’m called a lib or a troll just because I want to know what actually happened. I don’t take the protester’s story at his own word anymore than I took Gate’s story at his word. According to Gates, the cops discriminated against him. Obummer jump-the-gun and accused the cops of being guilty, without knowing all of the facts. It seems several freepers here are doing the same thing though. I tend to be more cautious because I don’t intend to look like the fool Obummer ended up being. Is that so wrong?

By the way, if you’re offended that I used a lot of words to fully explain my position then oh well (your circumlocution comment). If I don’t fully explain everything thoroughly, then you jump on me, but if I do explain it thoroughly then you also insult me.

Can you please just provide an argument, any argument, for this debate or are you only capable of providing meaningless insults?

As I’ve said before, I read all of your posts to me and not a single one offered a position or argument or fact for this debate. Do you actually have a position or argument?

While driving home from Saturday’s March on Washington, we were passed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike by a SUV with two of those posters taped to the back window. Hope that person made it home safely, or at least takes the pics off the window when leaving the car unattended.

To: a fool in paradise

I thought about this subject late into the evening and I thought of another possible reason for the perceived “unequal” application of the laws.

According to the TX penal code, misdemeanor offenses (offenses that usually result in a ticket) can only be enforced if committed in the presence of a peace officer. For instance, you can only get a speeding ticket if a cop sees you speeding. He can’t give you a ticket, after the fact, just because your neighbor told the cop you were speeding when the cop didn’t see it himself. Likewise, the cop can’t give a ticket to someone posting illegal signs unless the person is actually seen by the cop posting the signs. This guy might have just gotten caught.

This protester admitted that he was posting the anti-obama signs as a counter-protest to the pro-obama signs. If he did not do it covertly and got caught, that would be why he received the ticket. It is possible that the pro-obama people, if they violated the law also (which we don’t know for sure yet), simply were not seen by the cops so the cops can’t, under TX law, give them a ticket after the fact.

Also, since Houston PD and code enforcement are severely understaffed, I doubt they will spend the money or manpower fingerprinting the posters in order to hunt down the culprits and I doubt the pro-obama people were kind enough to leave their contact information on the posters. Even if the cops found them, it is doubtful the culprits could be prosecuted because it is a misdemeanor offense and the violation was not committed within the presence of law enforcement.

Also ,much of inner-city Houston contains liberal minorities. Cops don’t like to go to those areas of town unless necessary due to gangs. If the cops see posters in those areas they certainly won’t stop to take them down. I really doubt they would stop in any part of Houston because they have more urgent matters to deal with.

I’m sure this explanation won’t cover all of the “vandalism” concerns, but it might shed light on some of the enforcement issues, if there actually has been a violation of the law.

Now I can’t speak to the “slamming” on the hood of the car because I don’t know if it did or did not happen. The protester says it did happen, but so far nothing has backed that up. We’ll just have to wait and see.
