WASHINGTON — An advocacy group under fire after employees were caught on camera appearing to advise a couple posing as a prostitute and pimp to lie about the woman's profession to get housing help said Wednesday it is ordering an independent investigation.
The group, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN, said it is refusing new admissions into its service programs.
ACORN will work with its advisory council, which includes prominent supporters of President Barack Obama, such as John Podesta, president of the nonprofit Center for American Progress, and Andrew Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union, to name an independent auditor and investigator, ACORN chief executive Bertha Lewis said in a written statement.

I can just imagine Al Capone ordering his own independent investigation of himself, and the public and government buying into it.
ACORN and any of it’s subsidiaries should be barred from the investigative process, unless they are called as a witness.
AND THEY WANT 8 BILLION IN OBAMA STIMULOUS TO LOOK INTO IT!

Will be interesting to see where the UT prints this story. So far, the stories have been buried on the back pages, no pictures. Today’s San Diego Union Tribune paper has a front page story of some gold coins found in a forgotten box . . .and ACORN was on page A11.

They just don’t get it. Their arrogance is so rampant they just don’t see how dubious that panel is. Of course it will fool Charlie Gibson. But most any objective mind will see this “investigation” for the fraud that it is.
The SEIU is trying to portray themselves as a government entity.
You’re right - hopefully the sheeple are starting to see these fools for what they are.
This will be very similar to the Obama campaign organization “investigating” itself and determining that they did nothing wrong and did not violate campaign contribution laws.
I kid you not.
