On their way to taping “Washington Unplugged” on the balcony of the Senate Russell building Capitol Hill Correspondent Nancy Cordes and producer Jill Jackson ran into Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., who told them he feels the Democratic leadership, who will issue a resolution of reprimand against him this afternoon, is using his comments has a "distraction" from "real' issues. He also confirmed to CBS News that he will defend himself on the House floor this afternoon.

If I am correct, they voted to reprimand him yesterday, and they will do it today.

I’d get up there and say: “I’m glad you reprimanded me. Considering the makeup of this Congress and how it has utterly failed to do the people’s work—indeed, has spent the people’s money more recklessly than any elected body in human history—I wear your reprimand as a badge of honor!”
The Democrats are better off dropping the subject as it draws attention to the fact that Obama is a liar over and over and also presents opportunities to explain why in detail over and over. I say, keep it up Democrats! Keep it up!

And in your remarks, I hope you point out that this kind of crap is exactly why this Congress has the lowest approval rating in history and why many of us could care less if your dropped trou and mooned the lot of ‘em on your way out.

I know nothing about Wilson; I don’t even know if we agree on the issues. But, part of me wishes he’d said: “He was accusing us of lying, but he was lying. His tone was combative, so I responded in kind.”

it will be so much fun to watch Pete Stark and Barbara Lee shouting “Liar!” at him...
As part of his speech, he should quote Pete Stark to explain what Obama was doing.
Then if they complain, he could ask when it became inappropriate to quote from the congressional record.
