Well, this is certainly one way to start a conversation.

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) handed House Judiciary Committee chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) an actual acorn, hoping to discuss the embattled community activist group of the same name.

King tweeted Wednesday:

Just presented an acorn to chairman j conyers-who-with a smile and a handshake agreed to meet tomorrow to talk about an acorn investigation

The Republican, who also sits on the Judiciary panel, has frequently called for investigations into ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) due to allegations of voter registration fraud committed by some of its members.

ACORN also came under fire after conservative activists posing as a pimp and prostitute taped Baltimore ACORN workers advising them on how to buy a home and legally disclose their income for tax purposes.

Nice! I hope he shames/guilts Conyers into agreeing to a real investigation into this corrupt criminal enterprise. A good tactic would be to begin with "What would you be saying and doing if this was a right-leaning organization that was caught doing the exact same things?" We all know ACORN claims to be non-partisan, but the fact that the dems are protecting them and the republicans are out to get them belies any non-partisan claims.

Ms Pelosi brought Code Pink into congress where the little skanks accosted Condaleeza Rice. They attempted to smear red paint on her.

We need to form a group called Code Nuts. We can get a representative to bring us into a house session where we can distribute acorns.
