For the Record. Federal Donations. Vince McMahon - Donated to Chris Shays, Rick Santorum, and Brook Johnson (R). Also REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP COUNCIL FEDERAL PAC and Forward Together PAC (?).

Linda McMahon - Donated to Rick Santorum, Bob Dole, Brook Johnson, NRSC, A Connecticutt GOP PAC, Rahm (D), Stephanie Sanchez (D), Kevin Murray (D), John Stephen (R), John Thune (R), FED PAC (?), Chris Shays, Forward Together PAC, Nancy Johnson, Republicans for Choice, Rep Leadership Council, DCCC, Lieberman (THAT shocks me, but maybe they hated Lamont), Our common values PAC, Kate Whitman (R), Mark Warner, and another Connecticutt GOP PAC.

From the looks of that she gave federal money exclusively to Democrats. Maybe that is incomplete.

No - I think the poster was just trying to highlight her contributions to Dems. According to Newsmeat, she's given 38% to Dems, 38% to Republicans and the rest to PACs. I don't think you should read too much into that, as smart CEOs (who have to think about the interest of their businses) will always give to both sides.

On the state level, her contributions skew heavily Republican -- there's no question she's a Republican, albeit an extremely liberal RINO Republican.

If she is the nominee, it would be one interesting race. I don’t know what to think of her candidacy.

“I don’t know what to think of her candidacy.”

I know what to think: she’s at least as pro-abortion as Rob Simmons (check out her political donations and affiliations)without any of his national-security creds or experience winning tough races. So far, Sam Caligiuri (who is clearly the most conservative candidate out there) seems like the our best choice in CT, followed by Peter Schiff, Rob Simmons and Tom Foley (probably in that order). I think any of those guys would have a good chance of defeating Dodd, but McMahon would not only make the worst Senator of the bunch, she’d have the largest probability of blowing the election.

Linda McMahon could bring in wrestling stars to CT to raise money for her and hold big rallies. The wrestling stars could convince 18-29 years old males to vote for her.

The 18-29 year old crowd is a demographic that we need to improve on.

“...appointed to the State Board of Education by Governor Rell.”

Isn’t that a conflict of interest, being in a position to keep the population stupid enough to watch professional wrestling?

Well that’s interesting. She’s a savy business lady so this could be interesting.

That’s show biz. Thanks Nikas777. Of course the embarrassing thing for Dodd is, she’d probably whip his ass. Oh, and beat him at the ballot box as well.

I’d be willing to bet that Jesse Ventura is more conservative than Linda McMahon.

I should’ve noted that I was only pointing out her contributions to Democrats. As the list on Newsmeat shows, she’s given to Republicans, mostly Shays (although she did donate once to Santorum, 20 years ago), however the PACs tend to be Dem PACs.

I agree though, that her donations appear to be influence-buying; the party on the ascension is the one that gets most of the money, if you look at the timing.

But giving $10,000 to the DCCC and constant donations to the vile Emmanuel is inexcusable.

Also, McCain-Feingold means her ability to self-finance gives her a huge advantage, especially in the primary.

________

BINGO! Freaking McCain-Feingold HELPS rich people gain political office by buying it like the loser Governor we have in New Jersey, Jon Corzine.

She’s got the money to win and is only accepting donations of 100 dollars from the public. McCain-Feingold, WORST...LAW....EVER.

The left is so afraid of evil corporations that they'd prefer a political aristocracy. That's why parasites like the Kennedys are revered while the vast majority of corporate CEOs who are honest, hard-working, productive citizens are reviled. McCain-Feingold exists to reinforce and protect that aristocracy.

I believe Lenin referred to them as the "revolutionary elite."

Warner! Rahm!!!???

A likely liberal RINO likely to be regarded as a joke candidate entering an already crowded field with 2 much better choices already running. PASS.

any chance she could goad Chris Dodd into a wrestling ring and then break him in half? I’d pay to see that!

"Is Schiff a conserative?"

Peter Schiff is a fiscally conservative, money guy and a libertarian Constitutionalist. Schiff predicted the recession and the money bubble bursting back in 2006.

If Libs can't spend money they don't have, they can't pass any "progressive social programs" through Congress. If they can't over-regulate, they can't move any Lib agenda forward. I don't even trust most self-confessed "social conservatives" to stop Libs spending and over-regulating.

Peter Schiff is the guy to stop their ridiculous over-spending and over-regulating.

Is that the same Schiff that was on television predicting this stuff and the other so called experts laughing at him?
