Don’t forget that he was in probably the FUNNIEST skit ever on SNL: He and Chris Farley as two guys auditioning for work as Chippendale Dancers, in front of a panel of male and female judges. Both dressed in black tights, bare torsos except for the collar w/ bow tie and white cuffs. Visualize both of them like that.He NARROWLY beats out Farley, and then when he gets the job, falls all over himself telling Farley, with utter sincerity, that he could NEVER match the moves Farley had.

Sad news. I was flipping around when I saw this on FNC to see what other networks were discussing this and to my surprise E Channel did not mention neither did CNN or MSNBC.

Prayers up and angels dispatched for his family and all who loved him. He deserves respect for his courage in facing this terrible disease.

I’m sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
I don’t like seeing people’s life cut short. It’s sad to see a guy cut down by health so early in life.

RE: post #6
Isn’t it a sad, sad statement that an admin mod had to remove a comment on this thread. Whomever you were who posted it; shame on you; I hope you’re not someone I thought I respected on FR.!

Patrick was a great man and actor who fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. May he rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful wife and family. May God comfort them during this difficult time.

Almost impossible to not stop on Roadhouse or Point Break when channel surfing late at night. RIP Bodhi. Life sure has a sick sense of humor, doesn't it?
To: NavyCanDo
IIRC, his grandfather was John Cameron Swayze. Patrick was born to “right” family but he never seemed to be an elitist liberal snob. If he was in his personal life I don’t care.
RIP to a good and dedicated entertainer.

Every morning, before leaving for school, my sister always had Dirty Dancing playing in the VCR to my annoyance. She and my Mom would watch Ghost almost every Saturday! My wife holds almost all of his movies as important parts of her growing up.
I can tell a lot of girls will have a broken heart today.
