Last week in searches executed in Queens and Denver, federal agents found a black scale and AA batteries that bore Zazi’s fingerprints, according to court papers. They also found cellphones and more than a dozen backpacks and interviewed the operator of a New York area U-Haul shop, who said he turned away men who tried to rent a truck there.
Denver Magistrate Judge Craig B. Shaffer ordered Najibullah Zazi to appear in court again Thursday for a formal detention hearing. The judge released Mohammed Zazi on a $50,000 unsecured bond. He will be confined to his home and subjected to electronic monitoring.
A representative for Arthur Folsom, Najibullah Zazi’s attorney, did not return phone calls.

As far as I’ve heard, nobody’s come right out and said it, but there’ve been ‘interesting’ word choices in reports that hint at somewhat of a nationwide scope....
(Yes, I’m aware of how ironic it is that I’m reduced to ‘parsing the words’ of FNC talking heads...)
They also mentioned that ‘storage units’ are being watched, as these units may be used to store items.

Stadiums, hotels warned to watch for terrorists

WASHINGTON – Counterterrorism officials have issued security bulletins to police around the nation about terrorists’ desire to attack stadiums, entertainment complexes and hotels — the latest in a flurry of such internal warnings as investigators chase a possible bomb plot in Denver and New York.
In the two bulletins — sent to police departments Monday and obtained by The Associated Press — officials said they know of no specific plots against such sites, but urged law enforcement and private companies to be vigilant. These two bulletins followed on the heels of a similar warning about the vulnerabilities of mass transit systems.
The bulletin on stadiums notes that an al-Qaida training manual specifically lists “blasting and destroying the places of amusement, immorality, and sin... and attacking vital economic centers” as desired targets of the global terror network
That's why very early references to this plot referenced a "9/11 style" attack.
Multiple, simultaneous, geographically different attacks, an AQ trademark.

Terrorist probe expands to include friends, associates of Najibullah Zazi

Counter-terror agents raided several city apartments on Tuesday searching for evidence that could link a half-dozen suspected terrorists to a recently uncovered plot to bomb in New York.
The men are friends and associates of the three Afghan immigrants arrested over the weekend after police raided several Queens apartments.
“We’ve got new bodies - eight more people we’re looking at,” a source close to the investigation told The Daily News.
Between 16 and 20 men are under surveillance - as are their haunts in the city, sources said.

The News also reported that NYPD investigators, in coordination with the FBI, hit chemical and fertilizer companies looking for customers who bought bulk and paid cash - and were also showing up at storage centers in Long Island City.
At the same time, the Department of Homeland Security issued a nationwide bulletin asking cops to be on the look out for suspicious activities at storage facilities.

The cases of Zazi and his father, both of whom live outside of Denver, are expected to be transferred to New York.
The FBI said Zazi, arrested in Colorado on Saturday, has admitted being trained in “weapons and explosives” last year at an Al Qaeda camp in Pakistan.

This is most alarming.
Looks like the Obamanistas are soft on domestic terrorism.
They have only arrested three out of 12 possible suspects.
An Imam tipped them all off before the arrests.
What the heck is going on?
