BULLETIN -- NEW YORK POLICE AND FBI RAID HOMES IN QUEENS IN TERRORISM INVESTIGATION.6 minutes ago from BNO Headquarters
Thanks:) Working n lurking...will check it later
Slow newsday boredom post ;) —
Shep Smith of FNC just introduced Judith Miller as one of Fox’s lead reporters on this story...
Ironic that Ms. Miller gets a ‘Terrorism’ story, since —
” Leaked information concerning the search of Islamic charities
Shortly after the September 11 terrorist attacks, the U.S. government was considering adding the Holy Land Foundation to a list of organizations with suspected links to terrorism and was planning to search the premises of the organization. The disclosure of this information by a government agent could constitute a violation of criminal law, 18 U.S.C. Sec. 793(d). The information about the impending search was given to Miller by a confidential source. On December 3, 2001, Miller telephoned the Holy Land Foundation for comment before the search took place. The New York Times published an article in the late edition papers and on its website that day. The next day, the government searched HLF’s offices. These occurrences led to a lawsuit brought by US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, New York Times v. Gonzales, 459 F.3d 160 (2006). “
He's uses his full portion of commonsense and has his feet firmly planted on the ground.
That’s interesting.

“Police Search House of Colorado Man Suspected of Links to Terror Plot After New York Trip”
Wednesday, September 16, 2009
SNIPPET: “AURORA, Colo. Federal agents on Wednesday searched the home of a suburban Denver man identified by law enforcement as having a possible link to al-Qaida, carting away several boxes of evidence.”
SNIPPET: “Agents left Zazi’s apartment with at least six boxes. One was labeled “swabs,” and others were marked “fragile” and “glass.””
You’re doing a great job of keeping this story current. Thanks for the postings.
You’re welcome milford421 and thanks to the other posters, too.
Remember those threads about sleeper cells in 02 and 03.
I think we got a real live sleeper dude here.
I watched that interview this morning. As usual, Bolton makes sense when all about him seem to need a clue.
Speaking of cell phones.........Cindy, do you recall the discussion on TM about all those large purchases of cell phones by the “dark, swarthy types” (all across the country) a couple of years ago?
IIRC, nothing ever came of that.......yet.
Has anyone heard anything else about that?
We've got millions of our own American brothers and sisters out of work, losing their a$$es, and yet the Fedgov continues to flood our country with foreigners, many of which are extremely questionable?
Glad those that established this once great country can't see it now.
” Has anyone heard anything else about that? “
Nope...
There have been a number of similar stories that have popped up over the years, and been quietly stuffed under the rug....
Things have been happening under the surface, and the fact that this situation is ‘breaking water’ gives me reason to speculate that something really bad is imminent....
JMO, of course....
Thanks, I hope some are awakening to the very real dangers we are facing.
I’ve always been curious about the “cell phone incidents”. Dozens of them were purchased at our local Wal-Mart, and on the same day, in the Wal-Mart in a neighboring town, right along Interstate 90.
Sleeper cells...Global Jihad.
I update this cell phone/mobile phone/satellite phone thread from time to time:

Has any one made a map, or done any tracking, of cities/towns the cell phones are being purchased? or of where the suspects are being picked up?
Thanks.

Cabbies threat to military security
The Daily Telegraph ^ | September 11, 2009 | Steve Lewis and Ian McPhedran

MILITARY bases and navy ships will be turned into virtual fortresses under plans to beef-up security in the wake of a major terrorist plot.
Taxi drivers and other members of the public will be banned from entering military bases without getting high-level clearance after an urgent review found Australia’s frontline defence facilities were among the least protected in the world.
The top-secret review also found Australia’s top defence brass would be vulnerable to a terrorist strike and recommended their leafy military showpiece, at Duntroon in Canberra, be turned into a secure compound.
Among sweeping reforms, the review calls for bases to be made more secure in the wake of an attempted terror plot by Islamic extremists.
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced the review on August 5 after police arrested four men loyal to the Somalia-based terrorist movement al-Shabaab during raids in Melbourne.
Security agencies allege the terror suspects planned to attack Holsworthy Barracks in Sydney’s southwest and had been seen acting suspiciously around military facilities in Victoria.

“Terror Suspect Zazi a Deadbeat?
March Bankruptcy Court Filing Reveals nearly $52,000 in Credit Card Debt”
(CBS) This story was written by CBS News chief investigative correspondent Armen Keteyian and investigative producer Michael Rey
SNIPPET: “The filing was made by Najibullah Zazi on March 26, 2009, in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of New York. It was officially discharged by Bankruptcy Judge Elizabeth S. Stong just last month, on August 17, 2009.”
SNIPPET: “Perhaps most interesting: In the five months between April and August of 2008, Zazi opened up 15 separate revolving credit card accounts eventually racking up more than $38,000 worth of debt ($38,786) on those cards.
In the filing, Zazi also claimed he was unmarried, in contrast to statements that he had traveled frequently to Pakistan to visit his wife, who his attorney said he married in 2006.
Finally, as part of the filing, Zazi was asked the following question: Does the debtor own or have possession of any property that poses or is alleged to pose a threat of imminent and identifiable harm to public health or safety? Zazi checked the box for No.”
Definitely worth a ‘hmmmmm’.....
$52,000 is a lot of money for a part-time limo driver who lives with his family.....
Yep, buying ____?
Ok, probably answering my post no. 293 (which we covered, but I was tired and forgot, so recap)

FBI set for more jihad terror raids in New York City
SNIPPET: The Queens Jihad is not over. An update on this story. FBI unit set for more anti-terror raids in Queens; Colorado home raided, by James Gordon Meek, Judith Crosson, Rocco Parascandola, Alison Gendar and Larry Mcshane for the New York Daily News, September 16 (thanks to Weasel Zippers):
SNIPPET: Zazi managed to lose his FBI tail after he was warned about the federal attention, the sources said....
My thought when you originally posted this was that the FBI has seemed uncharacteristically amateurish in this case, so far — giving rise to the thought that this came up very quickly and caught LE flat-footed....
