From NBC's Mike Viqueira The White House tonight is providing the below clarification on what the president's health-care proposals would mean when it comes to the issue of illegal immigrants.
The question, as we all know, arises from the Wilson "You lie" outburst, and the core claim that notwithstanding specific bill language barring illegal immigrants from participating in the "exchange," as a practical matter, there is no way of verifying the citizenship of applicants -- which is the current state of play. Republicans say that then means illegal immigrants would end up being enrolled in plans -- bill language or no bill language.
Today, for the first time as far as we know, the administration is backing a provision that would require proof of citizenship before someone could enroll in a plan selected on the exchange.

Republicans previously proposed amendments to prohibit illegal aliens from benefiting under the new Democrat health care plan.
DEMOCRATS VOTED THOSE AMENDMENTS DOWN -- SHOWING DEMOCRATS WANTED ILLEGAL ALIENS TO BE INCLUDED IN OBAMA - CARE.
Now, the White House is AGREEING with the Republican position that the Democrats in the Congress previously rejected.
The White House is now AGREEING with Republican proposals to add a provision to the health care deform bill to make sure that illegal aliens are excluded.
NOTE: THE DEMOCRATS' PLAN IS NOT FINANCIALLY VIABLE IF IT FINANCES PEOPLE FROM OTHER NATIONS, who should be taken care of by their own country.
So, this provision is essential to the plan. Obama's plans will fail without this provision.
NOTE -- PART OF THE REASON THAT OBAMA WAS BEING DECEITFUL ON WEDNESDAY IS THAT HE KEPT TALKING ABOUT "MY PLAN"
HE DOESN'T HAVE A PLAN. There is no legislation for Obama's random thoughts.
So Obama was NOT talking about the actual proposals in Congress.
Obama was talking about HIS OWN thoughts -- which are not embodied in any legislation.
So when Obama talked about "my plan" he was being deceitful because that has absolutely nothing to do with any of the bills in Congress.

They are feeling the heat from the massive demonstration in DC this weekend.
Axelrod has gone from denying that there was much of a protest to now saying that the attendees are “wrong.” We need to keep them rattled.
Obama is having a hard time keeping track of all his LIES. Thats what happens when you tell so many LIES.

Just like just because the bill doesn’t say “Death Panel” doesn’t mean there won’t be some committee somewhere that is deciding if you get treatment to extend your life or not.

Better yet, when is Nazi Pelosi going to apologize to Wilson and the CIA?
They are very rattled and these demonstrations are going to get larger and mood of the demonstrators is going to become more hostile. This response coming from the WH and the shrillness of the attacks on the size of the demonstration are proof of it.

I don't trust Obama because I believe he is a liar and a fraud.
So this is my opinion on this Rep. Wilson incident:
Obama and company are unwittingly making a serious, comical mistake when they keep this Rep. Wilson and the illegal immigrant issue in the spotlight.
1. My point is this: The last thing that the pro-illegal immigrants people want is to shine the public spotlight on whether or not illegal immigrants will have access to Obamacare.
2. However, by continually jumping on Rep. Wilson, people like MSNBC and HBO host Bill Maher unwittingly continue to shine the spotlight on the controversial issue of whether or not illegal immigrants will have access to Obamacare.
3. I suspect that pro-illegal immigrant people wish that liberals would let this Rep. Wilson Obama-is-a-liar issue quickly go away, that is, they probably wish that liberals would stop demanding that Rep. Wilson apology over and over about calling Obama a liar when it comes to this illegal immigrant and Obamacare issue.
4. So I say this to Democratic liberals: Keep criticizing Rep. Wilson for his remark about illegal immigrants and access to Obamacare, because the more you complain publicly, the more you shine the spotlight on the illegal immigration issue and the more the public will demand that illegal immigrants not have access to Obamacare whatsoever.
