Wilson Defends Outburst, Says He Will Not Apologize on House Floor
FOXNews.com ^ | Sunday, September 13, 2009 | FOXNews.com

Rep. Joe Wilson said Sunday that he will not apologize on the House floor for his outburst during President Obama's health care address, even though Democratic leaders have threatened to formally discipline him if he does not.

Wilson noted that he already apologized directly to the White House after shouting, "You lie," to the president during his Wednesday address to a joint session of Congress. The outburst triggered a political firestorm, but Wilson told "FOX News Sunday" that Democrats are just "playing politics" by trying to drag out the issue and force another apology.

"I've apologized one time. The apology was accepted by the president, the vice president. ... I am not apologizing again," he told "FOX News Sunday."

Wilson said he would "never do something like that again," but continued to defend himself.

No way. Wilson played this perfectly. He got the comment on the record then promptly issued a sincere apology. He comes across as a conscientious guy and his comment continues to resonate. If the Democrats pursue it further it’ll look like a combination of vindictiveness and “thou doth protest too much” on their part. The president has already accepted his apology so he owes them nothing, and most people will see it that way. It looks win-win all around to me.

It’s not just the media. It’s the schools. It’s the popular culture. It’s corporate culture. Talk radio is a subculture. The mainstream CULTURE is rotten. The culture of our educational institutions. Our entertainment institutions. Our corporations. All rotten.

We have the truth on our side. And all it takes is for just one lie eminating from these institution to be recognized and trust and the propaganda effect by these institutions is lost forever.

The lies about health care is one such case. More than most issues, health care effects all people. You can't spin it with propaganda. People across the board understand it.

Now combine that with the effect of new media and we may be at a tipping point.

I say that with the truth on our side and the new media on the rise, the days of being so defensive worrying about false issues manufactured by the Drive-Bys is over...or at least we are at the tipping point.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

Looks like after all the Drive-By spin and Obama propaganda speeches, Obama is up to minus four.

We're still holding the line.

DU is in complete meltdown over this. Listening to the invertebrates, you'd think that they lost the last election. All over two words - speaking the truth.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this.

I don’t believe we’re at any kind of tipping point. I believe it’s a tiny little fluctuation in the big picture. I believe the overall trend is in one direction, and it’s not a good one. I call it de-evolution.

He had absolutely nothing to apologize for. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and the rest owe us apologies.

Absolutely right!

But, Wilson should take up the democrats on the apology. Hear me out...

It should go like this...

Wilson agrees to be "chastised" and he also agrees to "apologize" again.

And then, while Joe has the ears and eyes of the entire congress and the eyes and ears of the country focused in on him, he starts his "apology"....BUT...

instead of an apology, he starts by stating that perhaps he did violate congressional protocol or procedures, BUT, he wasn't going to apologize for "being right and for telling the truth". Then, he starts laying out the reasons why he and millions of Americans don't believe Obama and the democrats with their Obamacare and the rest of the democrats' agenda.

The 'apology' session could end up being fun and very memorable. Heck, he could end up getting between 5 and 10 million dollars in contributions for his next campaign.

It’s nice. A bunch of people carrying signs. Shouting slogans. It’s all very nice. But I believe in the end it’s not going to matter. Not if they all continue to treat the GOP as their saviors. And anyway, what about the other 299,000,000 Americans?

Right now,

The more that the Demodogs attack Joe Wilson, the more damage they will do to THEMSELVES.

Joe will easily win re-election now. Even if his opponent outspends him 10:1, Joe will win. But I am certain that the libnuts will not be able to out give us by that margin! I’m sure many more that I are willing to be certain of that.

I’m sure the Obamafuhrer will save a special place in the camps for Mr. Wilson, should Dear Leader’s utopian vision become a nightmarish reality.
