ACORN Sting Filmmaker May Face State Charges (amazing, this really is now a fascist nation)

James O'Keefe's foray into filmmaking may cost him a few years in the slammer.

O'Keefe and fellow conservative activist/budding investigative journalist Hannah Giles were the ones who dressed up like a pimp and a prostitute, respectively (or not), and went to the offices of the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) in D.C. and Baltimore looking for advice on how to buy a house.

The resulting video caused quite a commotion and resulted in the firing of four ACORN employees, as well as other repercussions for those who support the organization.

In Maryland, it's against the law to tape a person without their prior permission. It's also illegal to "willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio," Baltimore City State Attorney Patricia Jessamy said in a statement released late Friday.

She added: "The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to five years."

The Baltimore City State Attorney's Office is investigating the matter.

Re illustration on your #190.

Corrupt government, despite their constitutional duty to uphold and defend said Constitution and enforce the Rule of Law, refuses to do so in a clearly partisan manner.

So what is to prevent this sort of thuggery from happening in future elections all over our Nation?

...What’s that??!!;

Did I just hear someone whisper;

“7.62; Double-tap; K-5”?

Oh my! **{8^Q ; Let’s hope that it doesn’t come to that!!!

“Rule of Law” would be MUCH better, don’t you think?

James O’Keefe told Fox News “Bring it on”.

The simple explanation is usual right, so either they are flooded or had technical trouble. That said, this is an evil organization working for a corrupt government. I don’t put anything past them. Nothing.

Where’s the chant of “Freedom of the Press” from our unbiased, non partisan media?

That sounds about right. I guess this guy’s state is sort of whacked out on the subject.

No. I’ve never watched it. I am familiar with the premise.

That crud doesn’t appeal to me. It’s interesting if it’s your cup of tea, but I don’t like to watch folks screw each other over.

I think you do raise an interesting example though. Good point.

It would be worth investigating how many times 60 Minutes and other news shows surreptitiously taped in Maryland without being prosecuted.

I found myself watching it because stuff on the other channels was worse.

But I hated watching it.

So, I solved the problem.

I do not have a Digital Converter Box.

My TV has a DVD and VHS player.

I also watch movies, documentaries, etc. on the Internet.

Mostly I entertain myself with FR.

Yes they would be admissible. If the cops had obtained the tapes illegally they would not be admissible. The fact that these people obtained them illegally is irrelevant to the potential prosecution.

Tax evasion, illegal immigration and child prostitution are apparently no big deal in that neighborhood.

On a serious note, you are correct about most of Baltimore.

So Candid Camera never pulled any pranks on Baltimorons?

This case should the State waste money on it, would face a Constitutional challenge all the way to the Supreme Court.

You may be able to make a case against "wiretapping" a phone call, but not in-person confrontations.

Heckfire, a Democrat DC mayor was caught on video smoking crack with a prostitute and that was still okay by the locos I mean locals.

They play by different rules in that area.

Let them Bring on a Prosecution. This would be a classic 1st amendment case, involving the media NOT reporting about a completely corrupt organization about to receive 8.3 billion dollars of tax payer funded largesse, designed to destroy our electoral system.

Acorn, your future neighborhood watch, will lend money to thugs and pimps without a second thought, long as they vote Obama, destroy upscale neighborhoods through demographic warfare with the help of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting for mortgages.

ACORN IS ALL ABOUT DEMOGRAPHIC WARFARE.
