Please post your updates from D.C. and from news reports here as well as your photos of the day.
Our Walter Reed salute to the troops last night was very well attended. Upwards of 800 people were there over the three-plus hours of the demonstration.
Photos and video taken by This Ain'tHell taken in daylight before the bulk of the crowd showed can be viewed here.

Can anybody produce a picture of a single person of color at the teabag rally?
Anybody?
Well, I can't say that I have spent time looking for American Africans. If they aren't in attendance by large numbers, perhaps they like paying for car subsidies, other peoples health care and increased energy by cap & trade.
I feel bad....NOT...LOL!
He knows I had planned to be in Washington until Mom’s cancer came back and my priorities had to change, so he hasn’t been too hard on me. This is just the beginning of this movement though and wow..how inspiring today. There will be other rallies in the future that hopefully we can attend. I have been brought to tears several times today just witnessing the patriots, the songs and the speakers. Marcus did us proud too. Loved his song!
Found this video on Drudge - it is awesome. And shows how fired up everyone is. Made me laugh.

thanks.
Yes, some great pics; however, the #4 one down was NOT from today....lest anyone be deceived.
Just saw a report attributed to DC Police and their estimate was in excess of 2 MILLION.
Unfortunately, I’m the FReeper in the family. Occasionally, he will read the forum when he’s not working or coaching his high school soccer team.
What a fantastic event!
Sleep weel!
eeeww, DU
more pictures plz!
LOL. Those CNN gals looked pretty small and ridicuous. Drudge has the rating posted and once again CNN has come in the bottom of the ratings heap. The people who run CNN really need to get a clue. Or maybe they just like being losers.
Mrs. exit82 and I got to our hotel in DC about 10:15 am and valet parked the car. Many, many people at the hotel had signs and were heading to the March. We got to Pennsylvania Avenue about 10:40 am by 11th St. intending to go to Freedom Plaza for the start of the March at 11:30 am.
The March was already in progress almost an hour early!
And it was a SEA of people. All the signs were wonderful, witty, and not printed by ACORN.
Just regular Americans by the hundreds of thousands.
We marched to the Capitol and it was already packed from the building to around both sides of the reflecting pond in front of the Capitol. We made our way to the North side of the West Lawn but it was wall to wall people!
We met folks from everywhere from 3 months old to their 80s.
One of the speakers said there were folks there from all 50 states. Lots of state flags and American flags, but the most numerous flag was the yellow Gadsen “Don’t Tread on Me” flag, in all sizes.
We were there at the Capitol from 11:30 to 3:00 pm.
Even though we walked around, we could not find the Freeper contingent.
As far as the crowd size, I have been in DC for marches and rallies before, once in a crowd of 300,000(Rally for Life, April, 1990). This crowd was easily more than twice the size of that one.
My estimate is about 700,000. And that is at the low end.
Everyone was friendly, the signs were great, and everyone laughed at each others signs, and took pictures of them. The crowd was well behaved.
There was too much fencing at the Capitol, which was putting people into dead ends. Even so, everyone was good natured.
During the March we had a rolling yell, starting from the rear and working its way to the front. The sound of hundreds of thousands of people yelling, with the sound echoing off the buildings on both sides of the street was the loudest thing I have ever heard. It was like being behind a jet taking off.
There are still a huge number of Americans who GET IT and who love their country.
A sleeping giant has been awakened, and the giant is NOT happy.
I wonder where the Freepers ended up?
Tell him they were all counted as they passed thru the turnstiles.
