Please post your updates from D.C. and from news reports here as well as your photos of the day.
Our Walter Reed salute to the troops last night was very well attended. Upwards of 800 people were there over the three-plus hours of the demonstration.
Photos and video taken by This Ain'tHell taken in daylight before the bulk of the crowd showed can be viewed here.

I wish me and mr sneakers could be down there with yunz today, but no-can-do. Instead, we’re attending a local Tea Party, fighting the good fight on local soil!
Can’t wait to hear how it goes today down there in DC!
Keep up the good work, kristinn!

Since we can't be there, we're having a Tea Party in Lakeland, Fl. Raining like crazy here now and it doesn't look like it's gonna quit any time soon.
Good luck to the PATRIOTS in D.C! We'll be with you in spirit.

Jim’s around here somewhere. Haven’t seen him yet. Syncro’s our main man in D.C. today. The media will be there to cover it. I’m not sure if C-SPAN is covering the rally but they should.

Ralph Peter's excellent column from yesterday's NY Post:
Eight years ago today, our homeland was attacked by fanatical Muslims inspired by Saudi Arabian bigotry. Three thousand American citizens and residents died.
We resolved that we, the People, would never forget. Then we forgot.
We've learned nothing.
Instead of cracking down on Islamist extremism, we've excused it.
Instead of killing terrorists, we free them.
Instead of relentlessly hunting Islamist madmen, we seek to appease them.
Instead of acknowledging that radical Islam is the problem, we elected a president who blames America, whose idea of freedom is the right for women to suffer in silence behind a veil -- and who counts among his mentors and friends those who damn our country or believe that our own government staged the tragedy of September 11, 2001. I read that article....Sounds like the new so called study, (note how it comes from the Treasury Department) “new Treasury Department analysis “, is hard up to tell how so bad it is. Notice how they seem to not have any studies on how many are happy with what they have and just want to be left alone. They state “48 percent of all Americans under age 65 go without health coverage at some point in a 10-year period”...instead of, the majority that do, or are happy with just being left alone. I’m guessing this has to do with Geinther’s “capital extension”....convenient way to funnel into a continual packaged revenue stream, like MBS, but this time forcing every citizen in.
