Ever find yourself in a discussion with a liberal who claims that they, not you, agree with the founding fathers because the founding fathers were liberal? Liberals have twisted the meanings of things to the point that they are convinced that they are right. It is kind of like their claim that the constitution or the Bible are living documents. By doing so, they can feel justified in their immoralistic destructive behavior as they support policies that will ultimately destroy this once great country.
However, I digress from my point for this post. I would like to make my socialist college professor happy by using the logic he presented to us, his students, for the reasoning of why he as a liberal is right, and I am wrong in my political views. As I said in my opening, liberals like my professor claims that he is closer to the ideas of the founding fathers of this country because they, like him, were liberal. Allow me to take his approach to the word liberalism and see where I end up.
Liberals have PERVERTED the word "wrong" into "left." This way they can juxtapose terms and say that the "Right" is "wrong," and the "Left" is "right," when in truth, common sense, and all logic, it is of course the "Right" who are "right," and the "Left" who are "wrong." The story probably goes like this:
TEN SCORE AND THIRTY-TWO YEARS AGO, OUR FOREFATHERS all followed Biblical guidelines. They were in favor of conserving [preserving] traditional values and so by definition were "conservative."
Then, at some point, misguided people came along saying, "We don't want to follow GOD's guidelines, we want to do things OUR way. We're going to call ourselves "liberals" since we want to be liberated from abiding by any pre-existing morals, and to do whatever we feel like doing whether you like it or not - whether *God* likes it or not.
Conservatives pleaded, "But we're right and you're wrong." Liberals countered, "No, no. You can't label us that way. If you're going to call yourselves "right," we're going to call ourselves "left" since our values are exactly the opposite of yours."
To further "legitimize" themselves, these liberals added the term "wing" to both groups. Now we have the homogenized terms "left-wing" and "right-wing." The terms "far" (far-right) and "ultra" (ultra-liberal) are politically correct adjectives for "absolute" (absolutely right) and "extreme" (extremely wrong).
Thus, over the course of 232 years (mostly the last 100, primarily the last 40), the anti-God movement has established itself firmly into society, while hiding the fact that they are WRONG.

The strongest man on the block will run the neighborhood. We have government to insure that we don’t each one of us have to carry a club to defend ourselves. But again, I stand on my statement that I think that libertarianism and conservatism are traveling the same path.”

I tend to think of the word as it is used in the sentence “the sailor wasn’t careful when he went on liberty and ended up with a liberal dose of the clap...”
Also I like reading comments that basically trashes liberals.

For years now I have been posting that we **must** call the enemy by the name that fits! COMMUNIST! and MARXIST! The enemy is not liberal, leftist, progressive, or socialist! He is and always has been: COMMUNIST! and MARXIST!

I never use the word “liberal” when referring to our Democrat brothers and sisters.
I occasionally use the word with respect to myself, modified by the adjective “classic”.
Democrats? They’re all over the left end of the map. Leftist, socialist, those words certainly apply. The rank and file are mostly populists. There are growing numbers of out-and-out out-of-the-closet marxists. There is no barrier to marxist thought among Democrats, and the open marxists are taking control. And they are teaching your kids. The marxists aren’t just teaching Democrat kids, they’re teaching yours too unless you do something about it.
Evil people aren’t referred to as sinister for no reason.
If ‘progressives’ believe in Darwinism, why do they keep trying to ‘change’ basic human behavior? Survival of the species depends on natural law.

A little overwrought? The great majority of people don’t follow politics all that closely even if they vote for President and just care about getting through the day for themselves and their families.
There was a time when “liberal” meant “accepting”. Those days are long gone.
Progressive is code for European loyalist. Those who opposed the Revolution still hate America and prefer European or African subjection.
I really think that the modern Liberal is a narcissist, because they have an unhealthy preoccupation with their feelings. We live in the Age of Narcissism. As a result of unprecedented affluence and luxury, preoccupation with one’s psychological state and a hedonistic culture, much of the West, America included, has become almost entirely feelings-directed society.

An exception to the Liberal’s reluctance to use the word “good” is their very strong inclination to characterize as “good” basic human nature, Liberals, Liberalism, and the Liberal political agenda are good in their opinion, but everything else is equal, that is why there can be no good outside their intentions. That would imply inequality.
Build the society you want to live in, yourself, from bottom up.
Get your kids out of public school. Seriously. Grandpa might have to help, get them into a decent private school or homeschool them. Whatever it takes, don’t let these people have access to their minds. You’ll be so glad you did this.
Find sources of information you trust, and turn the others off. Again, don’t give these people access to your minds.
Build your family. Get them into church. If you’ve had a bad experience there, look around and find a better one. Your kids need the constant reinforcement, and so do you, but you also have immediate access to a ready-made society within which to operate so that your kids have a chance at growing up wholesome. Don’t fall for the idea that your kids are handicapped if they aren’t swimming in the toxic culture that surrounds you.
Pay attention to whats on TV and set firm limits... don’t give these people access to your minds or your kids’ minds. Do other things instead. Get the kids and yourself involved in something that captures your and their imaginations. Fast pitch softball, rebuilding chevys, playing guitar or whatever. Do not be a consumer of the toxic culture that surrounds us, build the culture you want to live in and watch it grow as others climb into your world with you.
If your local church doesn’t have a school, work with them and convince them they need to be doing this. There is no more important missionary field than your own kids. The school doesn’t have to be wedded to any particular denomination, it just needs to be wholesome, God-friendly, and off limits to marxist flavor-of-the-month heresies. And, obviously, heavy on education.
Thats my answer. We’re losing elections because barely half the people remember the kinds of things that were once common understandings. With marxists teaching your kids, how can any of us expect anything better? And with the same kind of people informing them through the news media, and entertaining them through the entertainment media, its a losing battle. You have to flip over the game board and start playing your own game. Without you, they will shrivel up. Without the host, the parasites can’t survive. We don’t need them, but we have to take control of our own lives. We can’t continue to be mere consumers or the game is lost.
Ignoring the culture isn’t the answer. Engage it and make it better.
I noticed that trend several years ago when they started talking about having “good intentions”. It didn’t matter if the result was good or not, as long as they felt good about trying.
I understand what you’re saying, and so understand what I’m saying. Build the culture you want to live in. You will never be isolated from the surrounding culture, you live and work in it. But build the culture you want to live in and you will be engaging the wider culture on your terms, and not on defense.
Do not be a consumer, be a builder; take control of your life and the moral life of your family.
And my experience, meager though it is, is that if you leave a sinking life boat for one that isn’t sinking, you’ll get lots of company. People are attracted to happy people. Build the culture you want to live in and you’ll have lots of company. Your picnic table isn’t going to be big enough, and you’re going to spend a lot of money on barbecue.

Interesting that you used the word, “mind”, four times, and that is what God teaches us. Protect your mind from the enemy, do not let them plant their demon seeds. If I want to grow a field of alfalfa, why would I let someone come and plant a bunch of kale in my field?
Our children will be what we allow them to be, and we need not fall prey to the lies that we are sheltering them from the good of society. There is no good in society anymore.
I look at the Duggers and how they are raising their now 19 children, an example more Americans need to follow. Not the number of kids if they do not wish, but at least the way their children are learning what they want them to learn, the world be damned. After all, in due time the world will be damned.
