The caller I just heard got Rush flummoxed and floundering, stuttering and stammering till he quickly pulled himself together.
Rush didn't want to give the caller due credit for a point well made, one that Rush didn't think of. The caller was cogent and made his case perfectly, then he never was allowed to return on air and Rush never thanked or acknowledged him.
OF COURSE Obama bypassed the ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE school boards. He's craftily dealing DIRECTLY with UNELECTED principals and teachers.....members, as we know, of the leftist NEA.
It was a GREAT point, and Rush pooh-poohed it.
Before anyone pounces, I've listened to Rush virtually every day for 20 years. But I've noticed all these years that sometimes Rush doesn't like to give credit where credit is due....especially if it isn't his idea.

Leni, I noticed that as well. In my district, the recording of The Speech will be reviewed by a admins, teachers, dept heads, and school board members to see how it applies to district curriculum. Glad that they thought to include the ELECTED representatives of the taxpayers.
Since it is in FL, why hasn’t Rush mention the Broward County Superintendent, Notter, who WILL punish students who were absent today? That seemed ripe for a Rush review...

I disagree.
Rush has ALWAYS recognized brilliance and original
ideas. He has been gracious and quick to tell someone
they have impressed him with their discovery.
Though the caller made a good point about the “bypass”,
there was something else bothering Rush about this idea.
Especially the fact that Bush 41 spoke to school students
in 1991.

Part of his survival and endurance, is perhaps a reluctance to share some limelight. It’s a competitive industry. But it makes up the entire man.
I’ve listened to him for 20 years plus, really like the guy, appreciate his philosophy, and his respect for the Almighty.
