The REAL Reason Why Health Care Reform Is Getting Stonewalled
NJ.Com (Star Ledger) ^ | Sunday September 06, 2009, | Kris Seals

By now, you have heard the rhetoric: "The reform plan is socialism!", "I don't want the government to dictate my care!", and "The plan will lead to death panels!" Well, I hate to bring you to the precipice of how this country really operates. Wait a minute, I have a blog, so it makes no difference to me how you feel about the truth.

All of those protestors you have seen fall under one of two categories: either they are middle class, or politicians, who have a strong voter base of the middle class. The REAL reason they are so up in arms is that the Obama plan would give their worst enemy in life - poor people - the same quality health care. In fact, depending on circumstances, some in the lower class may even get - brace yourselves - BETTER health care than the middle class.

Basically, you guys are once again scared to death of the proletariats getting in on your action

First off, what major publication are you talking about?

Second the author gives absolutely nothing at all to back up the idea that Obamacare might hurt the middle class.

It's all class warfare BS.

BULLPOOP! I suppose the liberals have to over simplfy issues to understand them. I haven’t found one yet who really understands what is happening.

poor people=black people in the minds of a Lib.

So the real reason we are protesting it is because we are all ‘racists.’

My Logical Thought For The Day: Person A puts forth an effort, Person A receives a payment for that effort. Person B, capable of effort but puts forth none, receives same payment as Person A. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS EQUASION?"

Naw. The author is calling us racists, but dressing it up all fancy-like by saying it's 'class' warfare.

The REAL reason they [the middle class] are so up in arms is that the Obama plan would give their worst enemy in life - poor people - the same quality health care.

Where on earth does this clown get the idea that poor people are the worst enemy of the middle class?

In the first place, we are all Americans, some more fortunate than others, and the poor are not our enemy. In the second place, the worst enemy of the middle class is the arrogant socialist 'elite', typified by limousine liberals.

There is this thing called H1N1 going around, commonly known as "Swine Flu". If there is a pandemic, who would get it first? Poor people. Why? No way to combat it, since they have no money for - wait for it - health care. After them, who gets it? The middle class. Why? They will blame poor people for giving it to them. However, the middle class will get their cure. How? They can afford health care.

Liberals really are an ignorant lot, aren't they?

All of those protestors ... are middle class, or politicians,

I've noticed that all supporters of the government option are those who won't be in it!---union members and politicians!

First off, what major publication are you talking about?

NJ.com. Publisher of the Star Ledger, The Times in Trenton and three other publications in New Jersey.

The author, in the first paragraph, says he is a blogger and I wanted to make it clear he's not just one guy blogging from home. A fairly large corporation is behind his words. That makes what he says even worse in my mind.

This isn't a major publication at all. This is a blog. From the looks of it, a low traffic and poorly written one at that.

Secondly, the author is a complete and utter moron, and ignorant in the bargain. Anyone, and I mean anyone, that has had or has had a relative with any extended stays in medical facilities inevitably would have been on the same ward as poor uninsured people who receive the exact same care as the insured person.

The poor in this country already have insurance. It is called Medicaid. The rich self insure. It is the middle class and the working poor who are in the direct line of attack of any health care reform. It is the Middle classes that have the most to loose in the event that health care is nationalized.

The wealthy can always pay to go somewhere else. Probably India. The poor already have government run health care. The middle class will just see their level of care deteriorate right along with the poor. It is just that it is the middle class that will have to pay for it, in more ways than one.
