Has Nancy Pelosi called the protesters “astroturf” yet?

I wish the people of Venezuela success in ridding themselves of their socialist overlords, and am looking forward hearing about Chavez going all “Mussolini” from a lamp post in downtown Caracas.

Venezuela was actually one of the best countries in LatAm until Hugo managed to seize it with a combination of Castro funding and calling himself “black” to grab the populist position.

VZ tried to get rid of him in 2002, and the US basically let them down (under Bush, who initially supported their attempt to remove Hugo and then, as usual, backed down when the Dems complained) and reinstalled Hugo.

Go Venezuela! They need to Twitter more. I went to my Tweet Grid to look for stuff on VZ and I got ads for bookkeeping services...

Honduras kept in touch through Twitter, and folks in VZ should do that too.

I think these protests are going on in Colombia and elsewhere.

Are we SURE these are happening in Venezuela?

They should have protested this hard before they gave Chavez rule for life. Unfortunately we’re on the same road.

I guess some demonstrations ARE happening in Caracas, but the pro-Chavistas (union thugs) have been ordered to fill the streets and rally FOR socialism.

Protests are taking place in 144 cities around the world.

Nice!

Venezuelans: next time Chavez is arrested and pulled out of power — pull the freakin’ trigger.

I was wondering about the ears, do all dictators and wannabee dictators have oversized ears?

Bloomberg.com is reporting on this demonstration:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aKToujls1fJk

Bloomberg news on the web is a relatively objective unbiased news source, at least by MSM standards. Will we see anything about this on CBS news? The chances of that are slim and none, and Slim just left town.

...good point, but what does this have to do with Venezuela? I think you posted to the wrong thread.

We need to be doing this in our own country. Tea parties are fine, but they’re not getting the job done.

Maybe the protesters were inspired by American Tea Parties?

Or maybe Honduras
