President Obama finds himself the target of similar criticism he leveled at his predecessor for trying to increase executive power. ---
Candidate Barack Obama criticized President Bush for trying to increase executive power. Now President Obama finds himself the target of similar criticism as his growing army of czars raises concerns and questions about his authority.
Candidate Obama's complaints were usually about Bush excluding Congress from national security and civil liberty matters. But Republicans say his czars are shutting Congress out of health care and environmental issues.
By some accounts, there are close to three dozen so-called czars in the Obama administration, managing everything from closing the Guantanamo Bay detention facility to ending the genocide in Darfur, though the White House is reluctant to use the term "czar."

Bummer is such a dim bulb that he needs the czars just to turn around.
I try to keep up with topics here on FR but I’m wondering if I missed the boat on this one or maybe my simple comments have not taken root here but I have commented briefly concerning obamao’s “czars” and from inception have deemed them a “shadow gov’t” aka/”third party” i’m curious if someone else has here on FR has picked up on this
Will they overthrow him? What a mess.
i’m sure a number of americans would say your comments and concerns are very valid.
There has been some conflict with Congress. These ‘czars’ are usurping congressional oversight in some cases. All of them are taking over some previously held authority in our government. Hard to classify them as a third party because they all answer to obama, and only obama.

Yup...
agreed & it’s definitely an odd bunch.......some Aff Act babies all grown up & embracing socialism as the road to “freedom”~~~
great poster you have here i may use this as a mini screen saver~~~obamao at his best~~~the only thing he was trained for
roflmao
Congress has the power of the purse. It can end the czars tomorrow by cutting off funding.
Once again the GOP is failing to take advantage of a public relations win dropped directly in their laps. The czars are an end run around the Constitutional requirement for Senate confirmation of executive branch officials. They also duplicate and dilute offices already established in the government (such as Cabinet secretaries and department heads) thereby wasting tax dollars and making government less efficient. Why doesn’t the GOP establishment go on message condemning the czars? It is a message that will resonate with the American people who are increasingly concerned about deficits and encroaching federal power. The word czars implies monarchy and dictatorship. Go out and fight the czars and put both the President and the Congress on the defensive.
How can they do this? Every day Michael Steele, Newt Gingrich, Romney, McCain, and other GOP bigwigs should be giving speeches about the dangers and waste of the czars. Every GOP Congressman and Senator should be doing the same in speeches, on their websites, and in communications to constituents as well as interviews with the press. Get on one message and keep the pressure on.
Instead, Glen Beck is one voice in the wilderness while the GOP establishment sits quietly back. Now is the time for the opposition party to go on the attack. Too bad the opposition party can’t figure out its message. Have they considered hiring a real PR expert?
'Nuff said.
The courts tend to fairly zealous regarding balances of power...even the goofy leftist ones....they’ll start weighing in soon!
this is one of the best asked questions of all time
President wee wee has wonderful folks around him this comes with his twisted thinking process.
Glenn has really gone way out on the limb and the only one's out there with him...is a bunch of very concerned Americans.
Why are thousands willing to go out on the limb, because no one in government is representing, We the People.
I have kept asking myself why the Senate isnt on this czar thing. It is their power the usurper is usurping.
Why are Republican Senators not screaming their heads off?
The only answer I can come up with is Cowardice.
