Matthew Haag and I have a story today about President Obama's plan next week to make a speech aimed at students. As it stands, Plano does not plan to air the speech live. But the school district will make the speech available on its website. The story has spread like wildfire this morning. As such, we wanted to put the question to you in a Plano Mini Poll. I had to vote “No” because “Hell NO” wasn’t available.

One more thought . . .call your local school superintendent and express your views. Let them know you are paying attention, and that you vote on their school budgets, bonds, etc . . .

Forget about live and taped - It’s a “NO speech EVER” to our school children. Cut it off now - NO COMPROMISE.
San Antonio and Leander will NOT show it to students during school hours. It will be on those district’s websites for home viewing if wanted.

We've been made aware that it had been posted on at least one popular conservative chat room, skewing the results. 'Yes' votes were leading by a fair margin earlier in the day.

They pulled the poll - after noting on top of the thread that the results were polluted by Freepers.

It was stated on the blog that the poll was disabled because it had come to their attention that a “conservative political forum” had been notified of the poll and was trying to “skew” the results.
This makes ZERO sense because Plano is a very conservative city anyway so it’s not unusual for people to vote no on something like this. Nobody I have spoken to is in favor of this speech being aired in the Plano schools.

My prediction is that they will make this first one be very tame, so they can laugh at people who opposed it. Then, they can start doing this on a regular basis, and when ppl aren’t paying attention they will turn it into full-scale brainwashing.
