THOUSAND OAKS -- A 65 year old man had his finger bitten off Wednesday evening at a health care rally in Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's investigators were called to Hillcrest and Lynn Road at 7:26 p.m.

About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform. A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street.

When someone from the pro-reform side crossed over to the anti-reform side, a fist fight ensued, which resulted in the man's pinky finger getting bitten off.

It's believed the man was on the anti-health care reform side.

He took his finger and walked to Los Robles hospital for treatment.

Police don't know who bit the man's finger off, but they're investigating the incident.

I guess the Moveon goon was too hungry to wait for the grand opening of the Obama Old Folks Euthanasia Clinic and Soylent Green Processing Plant.

That’s not how I read it at all. Here’s what it says...

“The man apparently punched the person from the anti-reform side. In the scuffle that ensued, that person bit the man’s pinky finger, severing it.”

That reads to me that the pro-Obama dude punched the anti-Obama dude...and the anti-Obama dude bit the pro-Obama dude’s finger off during the fight that came afterwards.

"A witness from the scene told KTLA the man who got his finger bitten off was walking through the anti-reform group to get to the pro-reform group when he got in an altercation with someone from the anti-reform side."

"The man apparently punched the person from the anti-reform side. In the scuffle that ensued, that person bit the man’s pinky finger, severing it."

KTLA has rewritten their story again. It now reads:

"A witness from the scene says a man was walking through the anti-reform group to get to the pro-reform side when he got into an altercation with the 65-year-old, who opposes health care reform."

"The 65-year-old was apparently aggressive and hit the other man, who then retaliated by biting off his attacker's pinky, according to Karoli from DrumsnWhistles."

The story is a mess. This might be intentional, or it might be because some witnesses are LYING.

The witness who posted online (Karoli from DrumsnWhistles) has been clear from the beginning that the 65 year old man who had his finger bitten off was protesting against Obama.

The loathsome Los Angeles Times even linked to her, but still got their story backwards.

What is especially interesting is that Karoli supports Obama, but still admitted that the victim was protesting against Obama's healthcare plan.

I’m a law and order guy and I generally give the benefit of the doubt to the cops.

That said, the cops should not have permitted any contact between the two groups. That is simply crowd control 101 stuff. Given that they did not manage that relatively simple task, I don’t hold out much hope for them ever getting the guy who bit the finger off—despite the undoubted presense of literally hundreds of cameras at the rally.

That said, it would seen the man did not bite his own finger off. Therefore, an Onadacare thug must have done it. Therefore, as someone has already said, that’s puts a positive spin on things on our side. We aren’t the ones talking about or perpetrating real violence at these Onadacare rallys and town hall meetings.

Anyone who attends one of the meetngs when the other side is present should be prepared to either allow them to injure you or to fight. They mean business. They are evil, mean, and wicked.

I first read the story on Gateway Pundit this morning and thought that a pro-Obama person had their finger bitten off by an anti-Obama person.

Then I actually clicked on the linked article from Gateway Pundit and read the story again. It became only slightly clearer that the man who lost his finger was the anti-Obama guy.

Thank you for confirming the story is being intentionally messed up by the media.

Gateway Pundit has his headline listed as:

“MoveOn.org Supporter Loses Finger After Punching Anti-Obamacare Protester at Rally (It was bitten off)”

Apparently there are many people confused by the article.

this is what I just read and copied

how has it been changed?

About 100 protesters sponsored by MoveOn.org were having a rally supporting health care reform. A group of anti-health care reform protesters formed across the street.

A witness from the scene says a man was walking through the anti-reform group to get to the pro-reform side when he got into an altercation with the 65-year-old, who opposes health care reform.

The 65-year-old was apparently aggressive and hit the other man, who then retaliated by biting off his attacker's pinky, according to Karoli from DrumsnWhistles.

It sounds like the pro Obama moveon.org man bit the anti-ObamaReform guy and they make it sound like the one who got his pinkie bit off started it all and walked to the proObamamoveon.org side.

In trying to be objective and reading the other versions before the article was changed. It looks like they flipped the story to the biten man starting it (throwing the first punch persay) and going to the pro 0bama moveon.org side, to not make the moveon.org guy look, so bad?

??????
