Establishing the Obama Cult of Personality
vanity | September 2, 2009 | ChocChipCookie

The election of Barack Obama was never intended by himself or his handlers to be a four year or even an eight year stint. Instead, the broader intent is to establish an Obama personality cult that will lay the foundation for decades of power consolidated in the hands of our most liberal Democrat leaders with Obama as its' figurehead.

Wikipedia notes that personality cults are established specifically for political figures who are revolutionary and seek to change a nation's status quo. Fittingly, the term "cult of personality" comes from the writings of Karl Marx. Wikipedia describes the following characteristics of a personality cult.

* they occur in regimes who seek to transform society

* the leader is presented as a benevolent figure who wants the best for "his" people

* without this leader, society will never change for the better

* the leader's image is seen everywhere, is posted in public venues and hung on the walls of homes

* writings of the leader are published and may even become mandatory reading in public schools

* music, art, sculpture, and poetry will glorify him, often comparing him with past illustrious leaders

* followers accept his words without question and dissidents are often persecuted

Is there any doubt that this is part of the larger agenda of Obama and his handlers? His image, slogans, and symbol are everywhere. Frequent television appearances, and now a televised speech to our nation's children, have more purpose than just spreading his message. He must be portrayed and perceived as a savior with the answer to every ill, every injustice. Only Obama can solve our troubled nation's problems, or so they hope we believe.

Every personality cult, from Stalin to Peron to Mao Zedong has come to an end but not before the citizens of those countries paid a terrible price. Are Americans different? Is there a gene, the Freedom Gene, that runs through us, handed down by the likes of Paul Revere and Thomas Jefferson? A gene that responds to would-be dictators, "Not in America! Never in America"? I would like to think so. I want to believe that decades of indoctrination by our public schools, universities and media have not been able to wipe out that faint single gene that stood up to British royal tyranny more than 200 years ago.

Will America sit silently while the Obama cult of personality wears down our spirit of independence and our desire to think freely? Or will we stand up, collectively, with steel in our spines, and tell this Chicago shyster to sell his snake oil to some other people on some other continent?

Obama is like a bad organ transplant.

He is incompatable with the Body American.

He will be rejected.

They forgot one thing. Before you can have a cult, you have to have a personality.

If that "Not in America! Never in America" gene existed, how did we allow "decades of indoctrination by our public schools, universities and media..." to take place? The complacency gene? The one that believes in our manifest destiny and that nothing can stop us? Which will be the dominant gene?

Has the "gene pool" been so polluted that it is now only in the elders, who forgot to teach "Not in America! Never in America"? Because we did.

Are both memories (or genes) in enough young Americans, who have been left to fend for themselves among their teachers, with the "new thought" about America as evil, as something about which NOT to be proud, as the Obamas and company pushed for so many years now? Thought provoking...can the elders do this? Is it our turn to be the greatest generation...or to become the "me generation" that let it all slip away? A lot to think about...good post.

I’ll see your 10 bucks and raise you a 2nd Amendment. Those that wish to destroy the Republic will never fully ever be able to do it as long as there is the threat of a firearm behind every blade of grass.

You may be right, but I'm not sure that is the point. I read this here a few weeks ago...

++++++

Gibbs was addressing a question about a comment made by Rep. Leonard Boswell (D-Iowa), who said the president told him he is willing to risk a second term to get a health care overhaul bill approved. Gibbs said that would be true of most issues.

“I don’t know that I’ve specifically heard him on health care,” said Gibbs, “but I have heard the president say that if making tough decisions in getting important things done that Washington has failed to do for decades means that he only lives in this house and makes those decisions for four years, he’s quite comfortable,” Gibbs told reporters at the White House press briefing.

+++++

To me, this means it doesn't matter how long he's in as long as he accomplishes what he set out to do. I don't know, but some have said those things will be very difficult to undo.

When you begin seeing his image everywhere, deface it. Better yet—post some jokers.

To form a Cult of Personality you first need a personality. Obama has none. He is a boring windbag with way too much book learning and no life experiences. You can see it in his Harvard Education arrogance, choice of a mate, and his almost childish actions. The more you get to know him, the less you like him.

Over taxation. Today, both parents have to work to bring home a whole paycheck. People are so busy working, their children are being raised by the socialist collective. They feel helpless, because the government forces them to support the democrat base before they even get their paychecks. They have very little left to support their own families.
They voted for Republicans across the board, but the Republicans did nothing to end the massive support programs and save their kids from the public indoctrination and day care centers.

We bit the bullet and learned to live on less (for other reasons as well) and home schooled our kids. We refused to throw them to the liberal lions. Most people have no idea how strong they are. They're afraid to do it. They simply surrender from over work and exhaustion instead.

If that is true, we are getting what we deserve...what we settled for.
