What I'd Do About September 8 And Obama's Invasion of Public Schools
9/08/2009 | RowdyFFC

Posted on 09/02/2009 3:47:16 PM PDT by RowdyFFC

If I had children still in school and objected to the invasion of public schools with propaganda, I would send a note to school with my children that they are to be exempted from participation in this exercise. And if the school gave me any flack, I'd just keep them home that day.

Where is the requirement that our children need to be 'inspired' by socialism and guilt trips that is vested in the ideology of Barack Obama?

If we got a few fellow parents together, could we file a law suit against our local school board?

First school broadcast will probably being nothing alarming just encouraging kids to study work hard etc etc

It will be the Trojan Horse to get the schools and public use to this type venue

Hard indoctrination will come later

Yes, I’ve heard of No Child Left Behind...in Texas we put it on the back burner and ignored it, and the Feds fined us $444,000. We paid it, and left the program on the back burner.

I don’t understand why so many states let the feds bully them.

We also have to legislate them off welfare restrictions as much as we can. But they still shut the welfare dollars off about June of every year and suck half the money they put in the grant back up into the general fund and it disappears into the black hole.

Someday I’ll have to write an article on how the feds have been fooling you that they’re spending money on their welfare programs.

Just think, if we’d had the benefit of the $1 trillion dollars put into welfare the last 44 years, that’d be $44 trillion dollars. We should all be freaking millionnaires, every man jack one of us.

Acording to the TEA Texas gets federal dollars for socialized schools.

“The Texas Education Agency administers billions of dollars in both state and federal funds that support a variety of programs to benefit public education. Funds come from multiple sources, including state and federal coffers, grant organizations, the Permanent School Fund endowment, and others. This section of the TEA website includes information pertaining to all aspects of school funding, including financial audits.”

I don’t have time to wade through spread sheets to get you an exact amount. There is a link where you can look it up for the socialist schools in your town.

Yes, I know Texas gets federal education dollars, but those are for federal programs, they’re not for teachers and they’re not for purchasing or maintaining schools.

There’s the federal breakfast/lunch program that you have to qualify for, the after school care programs that you have to qualify for, some of the money is for transportation, but I can guarantee you, they don’t fund teachers unless it’s for a specific federal program requirement.

Whatever the money is for it comes with strings. The socialist schools have to do what the feds say to get the money.

We need to do away with socialized schooling and return to a capitalist system. Socialized schooling has no more place in a free society than socialized healthcare.

I’ll bet many localities still have pretty draconian Truancy Ordinances left over from the 50’s...

One or two days out sick is not truancy.

invasion of public schools with propaganda

This has been going on for years, only this is the first time it's been so blatant that even the apathetic parents are noticing.

My son will go to school. I’m a taxpayer and I want my son to get what I’m paying for. However, he’s not going to listen to that Marxist and I’ve made that clear to his principal.

He is speaking, because that is the only ability he has to sway impressionable minds. We have a teleprompter president, with charm and charisma, and nothing else but a socialist agenda.

I called my schools that my children attend, questioned every one then called the superintendent office. They all didn’t have an answer right away, but called me back to say that they would not be showing this trash.
I am considering keeping my kids home anyway just in case. any thoughts?

Here is what I would love to see happen: Children should attend school that day but they should be offered an option. Parents who object to the speech should organize an alternative activity. They could have a pizza party or a make-your-own-sundae party. How about having pony rides! What about a “fried chicken and watermelon” party! Hmmm. I’d go to that!

I wonder how many schools will “opt-out”?

Have not talked to our local superintendent, but it would not surprise me if the local school does not participate.
