STATEN ISLAND, NY, Aug. 29 /
Christian Newswire/ -- Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, today issued the following statement on the passing of Robert Schindler, Sr., father of Terri Schiavo.
"Bob Schindler remains an inspiration. In spite of enduring the heartbreaking, court ordered killing of his daughter, Terry Schiavo, Bob never stopped fighting for the rights of others who were disabled or medically vulnerable. His quiet strength in the face of persecution and his compassion for those who were too weak to defend themselves will forever serve as examples of how we should show Christ's love."

I like your description of Purgatory.
I've always thought of Purgatory as a way for God, in His Mercy, to allow us time to get right with Him, after our deaths, in order to be able to see Him in all his Glory. Some of us had done more wrong in our lives than others, but not egregious evil, and may need more time in Purgatory, in order to be able to cleanse ourselves to withstand the brilliance of God's Presence.

A regular dad, who reflected a quiet strength that we should all aspire to.
God bless him as he receives his glorious reward.
Prayers of consolation for his family.

Mother Angelica described it once like a mudroom of Heaven where we must wash off our earthly sins before we are allowed in. Nothing unpure is allowed in Heaven. I have my doubts that teddy made it even to Purgatory, judging from his letter to the Pope he was trying to sell himself not confess his sins IMHO.

God’s light shone brightly through Bob Schindler. He was a faithful servant, and will be richly rewarded.
Prayers up for Mary, Bobby and Suzanne. This family is a perfect example of God’s love at work. Because of their relationship with God, they’ve been able to face off against Satan and his minions and win. Some of Satan’s followers surely laughed as they read that, believing that they won by killing Terri. Fools. The Schindler family remains firmly in God’s embrace. Satan fought for their souls, but he lost in a very public way.
Bob led by example. He showed the world how faith in God brings us through difficult times.
We’ll meet again in the happiest of places.
