A suicide bomber failed in his attempt to kill the prince who heads Saudi Arabia's anti-terrorism campaign, the first attack on a member of the royal family since the start of a wave of violence by Al-Qaeda six years ago. Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, the deputy interior minister, was meeting well-wishers on Thursday when a man blew himself up, a ministry spokesman said.
Al Arabiya television showed Prince Mohammed, apparently slightly injured, meeting King Abdullah after the attack. Prince Mohammed told King Abdullah that the attacker was a wanted militant who had indicated he was going to turn himself in. "I did not want him to be searched, but he surprised me by blowing himself up," said Prince Mohammed, who was shown on state television with a bandage around two of his fingers on his left hand.
This will only increase our determination to eradicate this (militancy)," said Prince Mohammed, who is the son of Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz, recently named second deputy crown prince. Earlier this month, Saudi authorities announced the arrest of 44 militants close to Al-Qaeda and the seizure of explosives, detonators and firearms.

Something like this happened once before that we know of, perhaps twice. There will be people who will simply disappear very quietly, especially given it’s Ramadan. They might turn up on the desert, they might not turn up at all.
Those of you who have no knowledge of Saudi Arabia except misinformed terminal Islamic bigotry should realize the depth of your cluelessness from this article
The terrorist was pissed at the Royal
Now there’s a quotation worthy of Bartlett’s.
Oops. That doesn’t bode well for al Queda. The Saudis are not quite as delicate as the Allies, when it comes to interrogating folks they perceive as threats to the Kingdom.
Obviously, but now the Royals are gonna be pi$$ed at the terrorists.
