Daily Presidential Tracking Poll -- 0bama now at -14!
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 23 August 2009 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 08/23/2009 6:35:52 AM PDT by ScottinVA

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14. These figures mark the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President. The previous low of -12 was reached on July 30 (see trends).

Prior to today, the number who Strongly Approved of the President’s performance had never fallen below 29%. Some of the decline has come from within the President’s own party. Just 49% of Democrats offer such a positive assessment of the President at this time.

At the other end of the spectrum, today’s total for Strongly Disapprove matches the highest level yet recorded. The 41% mark was reached just once before and that came one week ago today. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans now Strongly Disapprove along with 49% of those not affiliated with either major party.

Check out our review of last week’s key polls to see “What They Told Us.” Topics include health care, the deficit, stimulus package, state polls and more.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter and Facebook.

Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) now disapprove.

At least when America rejected Hillarycare, that was the end of it.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

America didn’t have to reject Hillarycare, people still had a little bit of sense then so it didn’t get past the committee stage. She couldn’t sell it to the Democrats, forget the Republicans.

Sure does. So FReepers ought to send the Rasmussen poll to everyone they know, preferably at their work email address, so that Zippy’s sinking numbers will be a big topic of conversation in the workplace tomorrow morning.

Nay, nay, if he gets everything he asks for there will be nothing left here to save. There will be no way to raise this nation back out of the ruins. We will be so weak that the barbarians can come in and slaughter us and take over. The world has far too many millions who are eager for a chance to go raiding. The only possible way to stop it would be nuclear holocaust.

When times turn ugly, people are reminded that the Democrats cannot be counted upon to protect them from bad ugliness.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I told a bunch of people more than a year ago that regardless of who the nominees were and regardless of which party won the presidency they would be wishing for George Bush back within two years. They thought I was nuts. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Why not? Logical if you think about 2 sides in a civil war both having access to nukes, one side taking more losses gets desperate and there you go...

Sorry, not buying it. Nuke your own country? And then what ... Everyone dies? It’s insanity and it will never come to that. Conventional warfare to the hilt, but no nukes. If nukes fly, they will fly all over the world and for a greater reason.

There are millions of veterans, many of them combat veterans, many who are noncombat veterans are still quite capable. Very few of them are pleased with this administration. Even old men, or old women for that matter, can be very dangerous if they think they have nothing left to lose. We once had a little old man of around eighty walk into the city-county complex here and stroll right up to a desk and shoot a police officer dead in his chair.

I still remember the DC snipers when so many were saying that they had to be ex-military because of their accuracy. I laughed every time I heard it. My father was never in the military and he could have made any of those shots with ease when he was eighty years old. I could have made any of those shots when I was fourteen. Of course my father and I only shot the eyeballs out of squirrels, we would never have considered shooting an innocent person.

The real positive thing here is that the American people are awakening from their slumber.

It’s about time!

The hard-left knocked on the door and half-conscious Americans let them in. Now it’s time to show them outside.

But this is far from over. This is the hard-left—they will find a way to discount you and try to push you around. It is what they do.

We must be relentless. We must not let up when they cry ‘Uncle’. Defeat them soundly, thoroughly!

Then we teach our children about freedom, what it’s like to live without it, how we got it in the first place, and how we keep it.

Keep up the fight!

Everyone take a deep breath. These numbers mean nothing until next year during the election cycle. We can all hyperventilate about how good they look now, but does anyone think the MSM will let this continue into the election cycle? This is a perfect set up to make this guy have a huge comeback when it really matters next year. I’m sure Rahm and crew aren’t worried about this at all. Let the economy pick up a little, get anything passed on health care and declare victory and the stage is set for the MSM to start crowing about the “new comeback kid”. The “comeback” will start after Labor Day.

I had to post that list in another forum after I posted when the dipsh!t hit ZERO in Rasmussen. The libs there started screeching about their cherry-picked polls showing Zer0 with much better approval. Never heard another peep from them after they saw the accuracy results!

Now, you would get in trouble if you printed up a bunch of those and took them to the range.

Back during the beginning of clintoon's regime, I asked at a gunstore if they had any targets with the 'toon. Guy looked real nervous as he explained how the SS views that sort of thing.

I agree, with this exception: I don't think the "strongly approve" is nearly as important as the "strongly disapprove," because once you "lose your virginity," it's VERY difficult to get it back. Look at Bush: 91% after 9/11, fell steadily, then jumped back up to the 80% range after Iraq---but even with a war, he had permanently lost that 10-12%.

The people O has turned off are those hated "independents" and "conservative Democrats" and Ron Paulists who hated Bush and who voted (ahem) for "change." Once they get to the point that they hate O, it will be "a pox on your house" for all the Dems.
