The First Family stayed in one of the eight penthouses on the tenth floor of Big Sky Resorts Summit Hotel on Friday night, said resort spokesman Dax Schieffer. The entire tenth and ninth floor were reserved for the Obamas and family as well as White House and Secret Service staff.
All in all we had about 400 people as part of the group, Schieffer said.
So, who threw her overboard?
All in all we had about 400 people as part of the group, Schieffer said.
They took a group of 400 to Montana? I’d love to see the bill for that trip.
400 people? Who is paying for 396 of those in their group (rhetorically)
Are we paying for the uhbama's relatives to vacation, too?
HOW MUCH IS THIS COSTING??? We deserve to know.
Freakin' unbelievable!
These people not only vacation constantly, they carry enough people with them to support a small army!
Whose dime was this, ours?!?
If George W had EVER done this even one time they would still be trying to impeach him!
He left an Aunt in Boston for them to take care of (or as a deposit?).
Michele could probably win the Gorilla Paddling Olympics. I doubt Barry could even keep up with the kids.
How could they do this knowing how most of us are suffering through some pretty awful financial stress right now. It is so in your face it just creeps me out. They truly are low class people.
Silence, peasants! Eat cake!
So it was of little wonder then that he brought his wife, Michelle, and daughters Malia and Sasha, as well as other relatives, including half-sister Maya Soetoro-Ng and her young family, on a trip that was part family vacation, part policy promotion.

President Barack Obama will have a different view of Camelback Mountain on his second overnight trip to Phoenix this year.
The president and his family, arriving tonight for a two-night stay, are expected to stay at the Phoenician on Camelback Road at the base of the iconic mountain. In February, Obama stayed at the new InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa at Lincoln Drive and Tatum Boulevard, on the other side of the mountain.

The Phoenician is one of a handful of resorts in metropolitan Phoenix to earn five-diamond status, the highest accolade from AAA. Canyon Suites, its even-more-exclusive hotel-within-a-hotel, also has five diamonds.
Its unclear whether the Obamas will be staying in the main resort, Canyon Suites or the Phoenician Residences, an enclave of homes on the resorts golf course.
Since its summer, regular room rates this weekend are low, starting at $177 a night, and government rates are likely lower. In good times, the resort routinely commands $500-$600 a night and up.
On Thursday, the hotels Web site had the presidential suite available this weekend at $1,600 a night. It was not available on the Web site on Friday. However, industry executives say the president doesnt always stay in the presidential suite.
The 60-room Canyon Suites, also home to a presidential suite with a baby grand piano and full kitchen, shows no availability this weekend. A reservations agent said it is closed for the month of August for upkeep.
The first family wont have much time to lounge by the Phoenicians mother-of-pearl pool, Centre for Well-Being spa or check out its new restaurants, including J&G Steakhouse by celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. This is not an official vacation like the one planned in Marthas Vineyard later this month, complete with a reported $25,000 vacation rental on a privately owned farm.
They arrive in Phoenix around dinner time today after a visit to Yellowstone National Park and a health-care town hall in Colorado.
If they arrive by dusk, the presidents daughters could head to the Oasis Pool for an Arizona summer tradition: dive-in movies. Monsters vs. Aliens is showing today, according to a resort concierge.
The family gets up early Sunday and heads to the Grand Canyon like many tourists, although the trip will be on Air Force One rather than a rental car or a tour bus. They return Sunday evening and will be in Phoenix on Monday morning. They head back to Washington on Monday after Obamas speech at the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in downtown Phoenix.

obama doesn’t care. all his trips since becoming Pres show he has no regard for people. he is on his way to martha’s vineyards for another expensive vacation
2012 can’t come soon enough
How appropriate for The Annointed One to stay at The House of Cards Built by Charlie Keating. I worked for a subcontractor on that project in 1987-88, nearly put them under because of delayed payment by the Resolution Trust Corporation settling Charlie’s savings & loan collapse.
Deserves repeating...louder!
They truly are low class people.
This really really hacks me off. Btw, aren’t those kids suppose to be in school?
Four hundred people in the President's party? -- for a single overnight in a single location?
He's got Secret Service protection, and they have to provide for accommodations.
The aircrew needs to be accommodated, as well.
Some staffers associated with national defense need to be with him at all times. Alright.
Plus, a dozen (maybe two dozen) political staff members and advisors on the particular subject at hand.
He took his family and they went whitewarter rafting. That's okay, too.
A very generous total for the above would be up to 100, maybe.
So, how the hell do we get to FOUR hundred?
Why does this remind me of a celebrity musical or sport personality who drags around an "entourage" with them, wherever they go?
Where I live we have a name for people like this but it isnt politically correct, It’s called being ———rich.
