“All in all we had about 400 people as part of the group,” Schieffer said.

Four hundred people in the President's party? -- for a single overnight in a single location?

He's got Secret Service protection, and they have to provide for accommodations.

The aircrew needs to be accommodated, as well.

Some staffers associated with national defense need to be with him at all times. Alright.

Plus, a dozen (maybe two dozen) political staff members and advisors on the particular subject at hand.

He took his family and they went whitewarter rafting. That's okay, too.

A very generous total for the above would be up to 100, maybe.

So, how the hell do we get to FOUR hundred?

Why does this remind me of a celebrity musical or sport personality who drags around an "entourage" with them, wherever they go?

It would certainly seem that an investigative journalist would want to see the list of people flown in, bedded, fed, and entertained on the government dime.
This is outrageous!
AND this is just one of the many vacations!!!! Where are the checks and balances? Where is accountability?
