Dear Friends,
Our dear friend Dr. Jerry Prevo, pastor of Anchorage Baptist Temple, has asked for our help in stopping an ordinance from becoming law. The Anchorage (Alaska) City Assembly passed an ordinance that would add "sexual orientation" to the city's non-discrimination and civil rights law. If signed into law by the Mayor, this ordinance will force individuals and small businesses to accept and accommodate all forms of "sexual orientation" including homosexuals, transgenders, and cross dressing.
We have seen in other cities where, due to these laws, a Christian photographer was fined for not photographing a lesbian commitment ceremony, the Boy Scouts were denied use of public facilities, and the Salvation Army was stripped of local government support because they refuse to celebrate non-Biblical lifestyles. In New Jersey, a church was sued for not allowing lesbians to use their property for a commitment ceremony! So much for "religious exemptions!"
Will Anchorage, Alaska be next? I hope not, and I am asking you to help our friends in Alaska. Homosexual activists from around the country are e-mailing Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan demanding that he sign this into law. You can fight back! Per Dr. Prevo's request, I am asking that you take a moment to e-mail Mayor Sullivan and express your views on this ordinance. You can e-mail him at Mayor@Muni.org. Mayor Sullivan has said he will announce his decision Monday, so act now while you are already online!

Has the city council voted on this or is it just the Mayor who has to sign it.

Dan Sullivan is a good solid conservative. Give him some support with your email. I did.

Is Dan Sullivan George Sullivan’s son or relative? When I worked for the Muni there, George was Mayor for some of the time. He seemed like an OK guy.
The city councils of Sodom and Gomorrah have or will regret their sanctions of like laws. Ultimately the Heavenly Supreme Court will rule against this as against the laws of nature and God and take appropriate action.
Anchoratge is quickly becoming more and more the suburb of Seattle as we Fairbanksans call it! :-) I pray that this garbage does not infect this great state any more!

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Anchorage Assembly has approved a law that bans discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity, but Mayor Dan Sullivan said he hasn't decided whether to veto the measure.
The assembly approved the measure in a 7-4 vote Tuesday night, one short of a veto-proof majority. It was a compromise ordinance that exempts religious organizations, but otherwise protects the rights of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered people to employment, credit, public accommodations and housing free from discrimination.
He better veto it!
Begich is as corrupt as his father and grand father..
He'd become a republican if someone trolled enough hundred dollar bills down "C" street.. He would bite on it like a Moray Eel... Like a Lynsay Graham or Arlen Specter.. or John McLaim...
Not all republicans are spotless either..
