Look, Ma - I'm a special interest group! This is why I've never joined AARP. Don't pee on my back and tell me it's raining.

My parents just ended AARP.

They don’t want their “care”.

Facts are stubborn things. Below is just a few of the highlights of this Bill:

Page 29 lines 4-16 - Your Health Care is RATIONED. lines 4-12 (A) ANNUAL LIMITATION.—The cost-sharing incurred under the essential benefits package with respect to an individual (or family) for a year does not exceed the applicable level specified in subparagraph (B). (B) APPLICABLE LEVEL.—The applicable level specified in this subparagraph for Y1 is $5,000 for an individual and $10,000 for a family.

Page 30 Section 123 - There will be a Government COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get.

Page 42 - The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your Health Care Benefits for you. You have no choice.

Page 268 Section 1141 - Government regulates rental and purchase of power driven wheelchairs.

Page 272 Section. 1145 – Treatment at certain CANCER HOSPITALS; rationing for cancer patients.

Page 425 Lines 4-12 - Government mandates Advance Care Planning Consults. Think Senior Citizens end of life.

Page 425 Lines 17-19 - Government will instruct and consult regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney. Mandatory!

Page 425 Lines 22-25, 426 Lines 1-3 - Government provides approved list of end of life resources, guiding you in death.

Page 427 Lines 15-24 - Government mandates program for orders for end of life. The Government has a say in how your life ends.

Page 429 Lines 1-9 - An “Advanced Care Planning Consultant” will be used frequently as patients health deteriorates.

Page 429 Lines 10-12 - “advanced care consultation” may include an ORDER for end of life plans. AN ORDER from Government!

Page 429 Lines 13-25 - The Government will specify which Doctors can write an end of life order.

Page 430 Lines 11-15 - The Government will decide what level of treatment you will have at end of life.

Page 469 - Community Based Home Medical Services = Non profit organizations. ACORN Medical Services?

Page 472 Lines 14-17 – Payment to community-based organizations; 1 monthly payment to a community-based organization like ACORN.

The greatest scare in this Health care bill is reading it, and that is no myth.

AARP is spending a fair amount money (or someone is) on this campaign. I was on the Recipezaar website and there was a big ad from AARP along the same lines as the posted blurb.

Can’t even figure out what to eat in peace anymore.

All of the health care reform plans currently being debated in Congress would ensure that you and your doctor are the ones making decisions about your health.

This is the biggest hoot I've seen yet. Not even Obama himself has been that brazen.

The majority of working Americans will continue to receive their health care through their employer.

Not after the majority of employers tell their employees that they will just put some extra dollars in their paychecks each month to pay for the government health care instead of trying to manage all that crap themselves.

If I were an employer, it's one hell of a lot easier, and cheaper, to just give the cash up front rather than either pay for a premium or try to administer all the paperwork involved.

Let Uncle Sam deal with all the bureaucratic crap and I can escape all the costs, (especially with an aging workforce) liability, and headcount involved and focus on my business.

Government Health Care will end employer paid insurance very quickly. What we will see is private "supplemental" plans like Medicare plans to cover the large number of claims the bureaucrats will reject. In the end, it will be far more expensive than what we have now, and people will suffer and die as a result.

Gee, with this sort of press release, I wonder if the AARP’s new Socialist leader will endorse the Socialist Deathcare plan.

“Don’t Let the Myths About Health Care Reform Scare You.”

If that’s not endorsing Obama’s agenda, I don’t know what is!
When he said he had AARP’s endorsement, may have been the only time he told the truth.

Every piece of literature I’ve gotten from aarp in the 6 months has been pushing it.

Immigration...healthcare...ALL the same enforcers....

SEIU & AARP....FYI

“AARP does not operate a PAC, but its employees gave candidates, committees and parties $53,200, with Democrats receiving 90 percent of that.”
http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2009/02/special-interests-to-listen-ca.html

SEIU & AARP...joined at the hip and helping write amnesty/healthcare legislation. AARP uses your dollars to fund the likes of:

MALDEF - Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund

AARP says: “”Anybody who looks at immigration has to look at aging,” says Harry R. Moody, director of academic affairs at AARP. “First, immigration affects the age structure of society” by adding younger members to the population, he says. “Second, the people who do hands-on care work are immigrants. Look at our nursing homes! We have an image of people picking tomatoes — that’s not the whole story. Immigrants are the front-line caregivers.”

& http://www.americanpatrol.com/MALDEF/Contributors-2002-2003.html (Fannie Mae gives to them, too!)

AARP also contributes to LULAC

La Raza

And from AARP’s ‘Latino’ magazine....

Meet AARP’s New CEO: A. Barry Rand

A. Barry Rand, chairman of the Board of Trustees at Howard University and a nationally recognized agent for social change, has been tapped as AARP’s new chief executive officer. He will become the organization’s first African American CEO when he assumes the position in April.

AARP Welcomes Jacob Lozada

AARP Board member Jacob Lozada gives AARP Segunda Juventud readers his perspective on issues facing U.S. Hispanics and how he hopes to boost AARP’s profile in his native Puerto Rico.

AND AARP works hand in hand with the SEIU. They are the ones formulating the legislation that the dems are pushing.

“– AARP, Business Roundtable and SEIU, which together represent more than 50 million Americans, today took another groundbreaking step for their “Divided We Fail” group by jointly delivering endorsed principles for health information technology (IT) legislation to Congress.

AARP gives more money to the Marxist party than the trial lawyers. Every time they send me something in the mail, I send it back in their prepaid envelope, thus costing them postage, and tell them I want nothing to do with a communist company that supports a bunch of Marxists.
