WASHINGTON - America's third largets party Friday called on Democrats to end what appears to be a budding campaign of union violence targeted at citizens who dissent with the White House at town hall meetings across the country. Libertarians oppose not only the White Houses's plan for government-run medicine, but the use of violence to achieve polirtical or social goals.

The Libertarian Party can go to hell.
Dittos! Not sure why some are getting so upset. If the liberterian party can help us get rid of the marxist thug in the WH in 2012..we should welcome them. They are not big enough to have any major affect on any conservative platform..however we would do well to take some of their fiscal platforms to heart. At least they spoke out on Obama sending his goons into the streets to beat up American citizens...where is the GOP?
Ronald Reagan welcomed a coalition to beat back the democrats and so should we imho. It doesn’t mean we change our values to suit theirs..it means we win their support to stop the marxist jugernaut and hopefully win some to our side in the process.
Dittos back!
People like you scare me every bit as much as the Obama/Pelosi/Reids do.
Just saying.
Yeah. I've been mostly registered L and vote that way, but I'll vote R if circumstances warrant it, never D and never, ever RINO.
If more followed President Reagan's example and stopped throwing libertarians under the bus, who are looking for any reasonable excuse to vote Republican, the party might do better.
I’d rather find common ground with a libertarian than a rino anyday...lol.
Yours is a well thought out response to someone who is completely irrational on the subject of Libertarians. I've watched ansel12 hijack thread after thread posting exactly the same crap about Libertarians, over and over again -- so much so that it could have been pre-programmed by a computer. It's his "shtick" -- being a one-trick, anti-libertarian pony. He's got nothing else relevant to say.
If the Republican Party would have issued that press release, the general public would have written off the accusations as "partisan politics". But when the Libertarians point the finger, it carries more weight because they don't tend to do that kind of thing.
That the Libertarians stood up to Obama is to be commended, not derided. As you stated, the Libertarian Party is no real numerical threat to the Republican Party. The only part of the Libertarian platform that is appealing to the mainstream is their "small government, free citizen" message. What's sad about that is that this "small government, free citizen" message used to be the Republican message, but somewhere along the way, we lost that message in favor of a more statist model.
Thanks for your reply. Obama and his marxist allies in the press really fear a return to the Reagan Coalition and you have to wonder about folks that post stuff like ansel12 just did. They want to sow seeds of division among the old Reagan coalition partners. I’ve noticed them doing the same thing on other conservative sites. Thanks for confirming those suspicions about this particular poster.
If you afraid of conservatives then you are at the wrong place. Just saying.
The libertarian party is a “third party” of it’s own and I post their agenda through posting their platform.
1980 was a high point for their anti-Reagan party when they won 921,128 votes for their candidate Ed Clark in his race to keep Ronald Reagan from taking the White House.
Look at that party platform of theirs in post 15 and you know that many of them don't believe in hell and that at least some of them must serve the king of hell.
Look at post 90, they aren’t “with you” unless you voted against Ronald Reagan also.
They are the most proabortion party in existence for example, that means something to conservative voters.
1.4 Abortion
Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.
So, after those libertarian voters got a look at Reagan, what happened? How many votes did the libertarian candidate get in 1984? :-)
Ah, yes -- let's take focus off the fact that the Libertarians just dealt Obama a blow by stating that "Obama's thugs have no right to intimidate citizens who want to protest his policies", by digging up the Libertarian "abortion stance" -- which has absolutely nothing to do with any of this.
No one here is suggesting that anyone join the Libertarian Party. I could care less if Libertarians advocate "wearing no socks every other Tuesday" -- they just righteously kicked the O in the nuts for his behavior toward all of us. That gets them a star in my book for today -- so save your useless hot air for someone who doesn't see through you!
Well said Bokababe!!
You mean you want to know how many votes the candidate of one of the parties trying to prevent President Reagan from being reelected got.
It’s too bad you don’t go after the marxists taking over our country with the same kind of zeal. It is also too bad that you don’t see that many libertarians can be brought into a coalition to stop marxism.
If you want to try and promote a pro unlimited abortion, pro unlimited immigration, pro unlimited homosexuality in the military, pro gay marriage etc party on a conservative web site, you can't really expect to keep the threads only focused on the positive parts of their campaign efforts can you?
I'm sure there was some reason for it.
And I want as many of those voters as I can get even if it's just because they don't want 0 to have a second term.
