The burden of proof

For just a moment, let's forget about people like "Dr." Orly Taitz and what may or may not be faked documents. People on both sides of the Obama birth certificate issue have gone completely off the deep end over this topic. Admittedly, for some people on both sides, it was a fairly short trip.
Now, with all of that behind us...
The burden of proof does not rest upon those who doubt the claimant. The burden of proof rests solely upon the claimant. Mr. Obama has said, "I am qualified to be president." For more than a year, more than 40 million American citizens have said, "Prove it." Mr. Obama and his supporters have said in reply, "Prove that I'm not!"
Mr. Obama, et al, have offered a simple and obvious burden of proof fallacy in support of their claims and then followed it up with appeals to ridicule, to popularity, to authority and to false dilemma/false choice -- "Believe me or else you're a nut job!"
In view of the lack of presentation of an original document, there can only be one rational conclusion: An original document does not exist, or if it does actually exist, it contains information that disproves the assertions made by Mr. Obama, the claimant.

"Let me also say that I remain distressed that the White House during this confirmation process, which overall went smoothly, failed to provide critical documents as part of the record that could have provided us with a better basis to make our judgment with respect to the nomination. This White House continues to stymie efforts on the part of the Senate to do its job. I hope with the next nominee who comes up for the Supreme Court that the White House recognizes that in fact it is its duty not just to the Senate but to the American people to make sure we can thoroughly and adequately evaluate the record of every single nominee who comes before us."
Words of Lord Zero himself on the confirmation of Justice Roberts.

Well, Zero didn’t see enough, so he voted no on Roberts. Fair enough for him.
The hypnotized public didn’t think to ask to see anything till they’d already voted for Zero. Now we are trying to stuff the genie back in the bottle.

A simple vote does not legally override the constitution.

It doesn’t. But sure takes a lot more effort to enforce that now.

"Believe me or else you're a nut job!"
Calling someone a " Nut Job " or wacko does not prove anything....
Try saying that to a judge in court when the judge orders you to provide documents to establish authentication.
To: Gene Eric
Almost all previous presidential candidates were gentleman enough never to have tried to sneak around that constitutional provision, however bitter their political differences. (Chester Arthur a probable exception.) Now we have a non-gentleman who went through the process and for all we know cunningly hid encumbrances to his natural born citizenship. Sure acts like he has something to hide.

Citizen until proven otherwise? Yep.
Exactly like how you, sir, must prove that you, personally, are authorized to work in the United States before you can be hired for any legitimate job.

The burden of proof does not rest upon those who doubt the claimant. The burden of proof rests solely upon the claimant. Mr. Obama has said, "I am qualified to be president." One of the core assertions I have made throughout this whole process. This is a central point EVERYBODY should be making.

Just bought the GLOBE at the grocery store.....Good Job! What struck me as I was perusing it waiting to check out.
Obama, who insists he was born in Hawaii on Aug. 4 1961, has added fuel to the firestorm by publicly naming two different Honolulu hospitals where the BLESSED event supposedly happened.
Laugh out loud, people stared and one lady even immediately grabbed a copy to read at home....Oh, The rack was empty when I finished checking out. GO GLOBE!
