"When he comes home, it's up to him, whatever he wants to do," she said Friday.

I liked the guy!!! He must have stepped on somebody’s toes for them to go after him as they did. When you look at all the members of congress; many of them have been on the wrong side of the law.

Traficant held the greatest press conference I ever saw.
He called his colleagues a bunch of political prostitutes. When his colleagues demanded an apology he called a press conference and apologized to prostitutes everywhere.

Compared to the level of corruption in the O administration and our present dem congress, this man qualifies for sainthood.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane...he was always great.

Wonder if he’ll get his old job back? At least Tish kept the candle burning for him.

I do hope he acquires some type of public presence — always enjoyed his opinions, whether or not I agreed with them.

Maybe we'll finally get to the bottom of ChinaGate. He was one of the few in Washington to mention the word.

I believe he was the first if not only democrat to tell Al Gore “The election is over, you lost, get over it”.

You know, don’t you look back in fondness at the time in American politics when congressmen were merely greedy, but still patriotic?

Look at today. Chris Dodd is cleared of ethics charges that would have likely totalled many many times the ammounts that Traficant took.

Traficant was always entertaining, if nothing else.

Traficant was better for America and freedom than 99% of Congress since 2000.

I’m quite sympathetic to that logic. How can you not be, when you observe what is acted on, and what isn’t.

Great stuff. I opened this thread to post that Traficant is one of the very few US politicians I'd actually be interested in talking to. Glad to see I'm not the only conservative who has a soft spot for him.
Anybody know if his floor speeches were ever assembled and published in one volume?

Glad to hear of James Traficant’s release. I have missed him. Would have loved to hear some of his speeches on the floor these last few months.
To: Eddie01
Wonderful. I would love to hear his rantings about the current state of affairs. Can’t wait!
