Stranger Than Fiction [Birthers, Talk Radio, Townhalls and 1984](Unintentionally Hilarious)
Democracy For Vancouver ^ | August 5, 2009

For the last few days I have been trying to shake the overwhelming sense that we have all been flipped into a novel, an outrageous conflation of 1984, The Manchurian Candidate, and Idiot America.

In this version, O’Brien need not torture Winston into believing that five is actually four, because the part of Winston has been hijacked by Orly Taitz. And Orly is maniacally, manically angry that Big Brother hasn’t yet posted Goldstein’s long-form birth certificate on the telescreen.

We’re not even in Kansas anymore – the proles voting against their own interests for the benefit of an ever-greater Oceania was blameless patriotism by comparison. This anti-Obama, anti-healthcare, mindless and menacing dick army is an amorphous, raging Id, a Brownshirt brigade minus youth and good grooming habits.

The irony is that while BushCo was in charge, these jingoism addicts could wallow, stupefied, before their Fox News opium pipe, and their dealers – Beck, O’Reilly and Limbaugh – partied with them. There was no need to abandon the Cheetos-dusted basements; while their heroes were nominally in power, we were safe from them.

But Obama’s election deprived their reward circuitry of opiates, leaving our homegrown ludicrous apes jumpy, cramping, and nauseous – and their dealers had been cut off, too. Beck, Limbaugh and O’Reilly, their egos suffering from a withdrawal even greater than their limbic torment, project their cold sweats and cold turkey hallucinations out to their junkies, and the feedback loop is set.

There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always—do not forget this, Winston—always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face … for ever.

The future has arrived: Orly Taitz and her compatriots do not want to live in a country where compassion, social justice and equality mediate our daily lives, because in such a socialist paradise there is no opportunity for them to wear that boot, even vicariously.

Without a clear hierarchy and an architecture of hate, our homegrown dead-enders don’t know where they belong. If a black man – the son of a Muslim, fercrissakes – can become president, then Power itself is irreparably tarnished. Obama and his pinko, homo-loving librul followers have made equality real, and thereby stolen their rightful place in the world.

And so they rage on, and our oligarchs put their psychosis to good use, literally telling them to shout down their elected representatives simply for the sake of the shouting. No need to tell these folks to avoid “intelligent debate” – it’s not in their repertoire:

Olbermann on townhall disrupters

"I would love to believe that time will bury these throwbacks, that they will simply slide off into oblivion as that great arc bends towards justice."

But, for now, they are scaring the sh*t out of me, and making the country I have to share with them far too much like the fevered dreams of fiction.

Sadly, many lefties probably think like this. As if we're the ones in our Mother's basements. LOL I think that's called projection.

This from the same people who say we are all Keyes for President supporters. LOL

Scarier now is that we have faux-cons thinking like this. I had to change the channel when Glenn Beck called Birthers “idiots” earlier on his show. You got Coulter, Beck, Malkin...all joining the DailyKos/Media Matters/HuffPo crowd now....

All this just so Obama will show his real BC...the nuts are the ones trashing those who ask.....

The author of this trainwreck seems to believe that the proles suddenly voted in favor of their own interests in Obama? Have I deciphered correctly here, lol?

They're even more deranged now than they were in the days of Bush Derangement Syndrome.

Only for the last few days? They're really behind the curve on this. The science czar's comments about putting anti-fertility and sterilizations drugs in the food and water supply have been in online chatter longer than that.

“Missy” has the stuff scared out of her by upset middle class middle-agers at town hall meetings? What a wimp.

You are absolutely right that this is "unintentionally hilarious." The brown-shirts of the left are so dimly aware of the real world that they don't know that 1984 is about them.

We need to pound these fools over the head and shoulders with the historical theories of the creation of the United States of America. How was it created? Why has it succeeded. at least up to now?

There is now a competition amongst Leftist writers to combine every slanderous inanity and politically correct negative label about conservatives into the most compact package. While they exult over the resultig density of their hypocrisy, they don’t realize how ludicrous they sound in combining the kitchen sinks from indigenous neighborhoods and then lighting them in a sacred fire in the name of peace for the whales.

“As if we’re the ones in our Mother’s basements. LOL I think that’s called projection”

This imagery seemed SO on the money that I immediately suspected the writer may well have had first-hand experience:
“Cheetos-dusted basements”
:-)
