MISSION VIEJO, Calif., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- A birth certificate a California lawyer claims shows President Barack Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen is a fake, a blogger says.
In a post on the Politjab.com Web site, Steve Eddy of California said he discovered through an online search that the document released by "birther" Orly Taitz was a doctored version of the birth certificate for David Jeffrey Bomford, born in South Australia in April 1959, Salon.com reported Tuesday.
Salon reported that Taitz responded by saying, "Obama's thugs in mainstream media came up with this Bomford report in order to stop my efforts in exposing and prosecuting Obama."
Taitz, of Mission Viejo, Calif., filed a motion over the weekend for quick action on her lawsuit challenging Obama's citizenship,

What the heck is Politjab.com ?
Taitz’s response does not seem to come from someone who takes thoughtful positions. Sounds more like a liberal-blaming someone else.
Ditto to what you said. This smells bad.
Gee, I wonder why UPI never published an article with this lede:
“A birth certificate that Moveon.org claims shows President Barack Obama is a natural-born U.S. citizen is a fake, a blogger says.”
Why am I not surprise UPI picked it up?
No one says that his father was American.
0bama’s father was a foreign national.
If 0bama was not born in the USA he is not a natural born citizen.
As 0bama never went through a naturalization process; if he is not natural born, he is not a citizen.
COntact information of UPI

This document was submitted as part of a court filing. At that point it was available to the public.
She submitted it as part of an attempt to get expedited discovery, i.e. the opportunity to look at BO's vital records before the end of the 60 days given for BO to respond.
This document is good enough to beg for the opportunity to verify it. That means it has to be one heck of a bunch realer than the Bomford thing.
Regardless of how many altered copies are posted on the web, the only one that matters is the actual ink and paper document. Allegedly, the “good guys” have a tangible copy of it, and not a digital image.
As for the Taitz document, the jury is still out.
