MISSION VIEJO, Calif., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- A California lawyer who has filed a lawsuit alleging President Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen says she has a copy of his Kenyan birth certificate.
Orly Taitz of Mission Viejo, a leading "birther," filed a motion over the weekend for quick action on her lawsuit, The Orange County Register reported. She acknowledged the Kenyan document might be a forgery and asked U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to request verification from the Kenyan government.
"There are no ready means of authentication except by recovery of the original document," she said in her filing. "It is also apparent ... that political pressure may be brought to bear to destroy all relevant evidence, whether such evidence exists within or outside the borders of the United States of America."
Proof that Obama was born in Hawaii includes his birth certificate there, statements of Hawaiian officials and a birth notice in a Honolulu newspaper.
Taitz's document, described as a certified copy, says Obama was born Aug. 4, 1961, in a hospital in Mombasa. The document is dated Feb. 17, 1964, and stamped Republic of Kenya.
Media Matters for America, a Democratic-leaning watchdog group, says Kenya did not become a Republic until later in 1964.
Mombasa was part of the state of Zanzibar until 12 December 1963 when it was ceded to be incorporated into the newly independent state of Kenya.

I believe in moderation in regards to strategy but as of now, after Hawaii once again claimed to have "seen" the original BC (because they have it in their possession) this comes down to very simple argument about intellectual honesty. If HI says they have "seen" it then it HAS NOT been released. Thus every anti-brther and syncophant leftist from top to bottom can't be allowed to claim that the COLB IS the long form BC. I believe that technically the COLB could be considered sufficient for HI to claim natural born status and thus pass constitutional muster but that does not mean we should cede to the dishonest position of the Obamots.

If the AP or the New York Times can debunk this by showing that there are discrepancies with known, authenticated documents, they will do so post haste.
If they don't do this debunking in the next 24 hours, then I think that there's a reasonable chance that the document doesn't have such discrepancies.
When Hillary gets there, she might find that she needs to go to the U.K. (lol).

IF POTUS Obama was indeed born in Kenya and the BC is authentic....a copy would be in England, would it not?

Well, I have not yet to seen proof that the birth certificate in Orly Taitz possession is a forgery- maybe it is authentic. The timeline fits.
