This entire issue of his birth is a simple thing to put to rest. The issue is really becoming, more and more, why he doesn;t put it to rest.

I have a passport and a birth certificate. I can produce them at my house in a matter of minutes. I have not spent a million dollars to either acquire them...or to hide them.

This is not a unreasonable thing to ask for since being a "natural born citizen" of the US is a constitutional requirement for the job of President. It's not hateful, and it's not racist.

Proving that you are should be an honor.

Yet Obama cannot and will not produce either. Why?

The following document is a Certified Copy of Registration of Birth, puporting to be from Kenya. It has gotten a lot of press. It has a number of issues which means, IMHO, that in all probability that it is not authentic. Yet, it looks more authentic than the electronic Certificate of Live Birth (COLB, not the long form Birth Certificate which has never been offered) that the Obama administration has shown on their web site.

The point is, this supposed document is out there and is being analyzed to death and will ultimately be certified one way or the other by experts. Obama's long form birth certificate is not...it is getting no such review. The longer it is absent, the more insistent the demands will be for it to be made public.

A number of military Officers are now suing for Obama to prove and show his "bonafides" before deploying, because for them, it becomes a life or death issue to follow their Commander in Chief. The same applies in principle to all citizens. In the end, Obama will not be able to forever hide from proving the constitutional qualification.

But the fact that it was a copy and not the original, which according to Hawaii law cannot be released publicly, did not quell the furor.

If this is such a fringe conspiracy movement, why can't those dismissing the birthers ever get their facts straight.

The original could be released upon Obama's request.

The NYT can't bring itself to report that Obama refuses the simple request to release his original BC. They have to obfuscate to cover for him. Some conspiracy theory that requires the debunkers to bend themselves into a pretzel to refute.

This is such a no-brainer. If they are worried about this, Obama could end it by releasing his birth records. At this point, it’s irresponsible of him not to. Myself, I am an independent.

1. I vote for Democrats sometimes. I vote for Republicans sometimes, whether the candidate is running for Senator or Representative or for the local city council. If I like a candidate, I vote for him, whatever party the candidate belongs to.

2. My point is this: I have been going hard after Obama's 1961 Hawaii long form birth certificate and his Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard college records from way back since April/May 2008, not because Obama is a Democrat, but because I believe Obama to be a fraud and a liar.

3. Is my relentless demand that Obama release his 1961 Hawaii long form birth certificate and his Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard college records somehow hurting the Republican Party?

4. To quote a famous American book about the South: Madam, I don't give a damn.

5. I don't want to hurt the Republican Party if I can help it, but right now, I could care less as I try to find out what is on Obama's long form birth certificate and in his Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard college records.

9. 2010 and 2012 elections: And, pro-Obama supporters, if Obama has not resolved this birth certificate issue by election time in 2010 and 2012, then a lot of independents like me will not vote for Democrat Senator and Representative candidates.

10. Again, to Obama supporters: Not all so-called birthers are Republicans.

Whenever excuses are made for hiding the truth questions will proliferate. 0bama created this situation by hiding all of his records and he continues to feed it by spending tons of money to keep them hidden. There is no one else to blame.

Let me try to explain something that a lot of people don’t seem to understand: millions and millions of Americans get their news from sources that take the NYTimes as gospel. Even if thousands of people posted comments here saying bad things about the NYT, that wouldn’t change.

If anyone wants to do something effective, you have to show how the NYT lied, and you have to show it to *others*, not just those here.

In the current case, the NYT is lying: HI’s governor never said he was born there. If we can get them to print a correction, that will also have an impact on a CNN report and on all the other reports that were based on that.

And, all that will help your cause, whatever it is.
