This entire issue of his birth is a simple thing to put to rest. The issue is really becoming, more and more, why he doesn;t put it to rest.

I have a passport and a birth certificate. I can produce them at my house in a matter of minutes. I have not spent a million dollars to either acquire them...or to hide them.

This is not a unreasonable thing to ask for since being a "natural born citizen" of the US is a constitutional requirement for the job of President. It's not hateful, and it's not racist.

Proving that you are should be an honor.

Yet Obama cannot and will not produce either. Why?

The following document is a Certified Copy of Registration of Birth, puporting to be from Kenya. It has gotten a lot of press. It has a number of issues which means, IMHO, that in all probability that it is not authentic. Yet, it looks more authentic than the electronic Certificate of Live Birth (COLB, not the long form Birth Certificate which has never been offered) that the Obama administration has shown on their web site.

The point is, this supposed document is out there and is being analyzed to death and will ultimately be certified one way or the other by experts. Obama's long form birth certificate is not...it is getting no such review. The longer it is absent, the more insistent the demands will be for it to be made public.

A number of military Officers are now suing for Obama to prove and show his "bonafides" before deploying, because for them, it becomes a life or death issue to follow their Commander in Chief. The same applies in principle to all citizens. In the end, Obama will not be able to forever hide from proving the constitutional qualification.

I’ve found discussing the issue with Obamots much easier since Janice Okubo reiterated her statement from November that she has seen the long form BC and deems it authentic. By doing so she makes the official claim that a) the COLB is sufficient to prove natural citizen status but still is in essence a certificate for a certificate and thus b) by stating she has seen the long form BC in private she has officially admitted that the most detailed and original document has still not seen the light of day, thus shooting down the preposterous lib argument that the original BC has been released.

I always like to preface the discussion by cornering the respective lib from the get-go by highlighting that since they assert that Obama has proven his natural birth status to their satisfaction, they are tacitly admitting that being a natural born citizen is a requirement and needs to be authenticated.
