Former US president John F. Kennedy had an affair with a Swedish flight attendant, according to a new book based on interviews with current and former Secret Service agents.
According to ex-agent Robert Lutz, President Kennedy took a liking to a Swedish Pan Am Flight attendant who was riding on the press pool airplane which typically follows US presidents while they travel.
While Lutz, who was assigned to the press plane, had initially planned to ask the good looking Swede out for dinner, members of the Secret Service detail assigned to President Kennedy told Lutz to back off.
Shes part of the presidents private stock, the head of the presidents Secret Service detail told Lutz, according to an account in the book reported on by the New York Post newspaper.
The book, entitled In the President's Secret Service: Behind the Scenes with Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect, is written by former Washington Post reporter Ronald Kessler and set for release on August 4th.
Lutzs account of Kennedys Swedish mistress is one of many tales in the book detailing the late presidents many extramarital escapades.
In addition to the attractive flight attendant from Sweden, Kennedy also shared intimate relationships with Marilyn Monroe as well as the First Ladys own press secretary.
According to the book, the Secret Service was also aware of threesomes the president had with two other secretaries known as Fiddle and Faddle.
Neither did much work, former Secret Service agent Larry Newman said in the book, according to the New York Post.
The new revelations about Kennedys Pam Am Swede come more than 10 years after details emerged of another affair he had with a Swedish aristocrat in the weeks leading up to his 1953 marriage to Jacqueline Lee Bouvier.
In a 1997 book entitled Love, Jack, Swede Gunilla von Post tells of a chance meeting she had with the 35-year-old Kennedy while vacationing in the south of France in August 1953.
According to the memoir, Kennedy referred to the then 21-year-old von Post as My Swedish Gorilla, having misunderstood the pronunciation of her first name when he had first met her.
Von Post described the future president as making love with a surprising innocence and the two maintained a correspondence for six years, with Kennedy visiting her in Sweden for a week in August 1955.
He even tried to learn Swedish;
“According to the memoir, Kennedy referred to the then 21-year-old von Post as My Swedish Gorilla, having misunderstood the pronunciation of her first name when he had first met her”
Gunilla is a Swedish name, Gorilla is an African animal. Somewhat confusing, isn't it:D
(Sorry for sounding trifle disrespectful, I do NOT think JFK deserved his fate. Even if some people here are critical of his actions and opinions, I think we all agree he was a democratically elected leader of a free country and that we also believe such elections are fundamental to true freedom, whatever their outcome)
How’s this for a novel idea....a book about women JFK didn’t have affairs with?
Fidelity, Democrat style.
useless without pictures!
Actually, there was massive election fraud involved in his win. In, of all places; Chicago. The margin there was enough for Kennedy to defeat Nixon. Democratically elected? Not.
But who wants to read a book about Helen Thomas?!!!
Once upon a time.
The End.
Won't win a Pulitzer for Journalsim, that's for sure.
Few pages and Connect the dots.
To play amateur psychoanalyst for a moment, I think that people (men in particular) that are given to such voracious sexual appetites have deeper, more troubling psychological problems at play. And, as much as leftists liked to "shrink" Bush for eight years, the fact of the matter is their idols, Kennedy and Clinton, were both a psychiatrist's dream. Each were deeply troubled and emotionally disturbed men that exhibited character flaws in the extreme, JMHO.
There are several jokes about presidents screwing the country. JFK took it literally.
We need more HB1 visas so that America’s airlines can get back in the black by hiring more Swedish airline stewardesses.
Also of note, Ben Bradlee’s sister-in-law, Mary Meyer.

I’m no fan of JFK.
My issues are that Eisenhower left him three military operations underway and he made a mess of all three.
Eisenhower had trained a Tibetan army which was in combat against the Chinese. Kennedy cut them off and they were wiped out to the last man.
Eisenhower had trained a Cuban army and Kennedy dumped them on the beach with Castro’s army waiting to round them up.
And Eisenhower’s team that had defeated the communists in the Philippines had been re-deployed to South Vietnam. Kennedy fired them and handed it over to his Harvard geniuses, and ordered the assassination of the democratically elected Diem. His remark later was something like, “oh, did I do that?”.
Three operations and three disasters.
Barack Obama certainly has issues about his two fathers and his mother running out on him.
