Birth of a nation: Too many Americans buy crank theory on Obama's citizenship
New York Daily News ^ | Saturday, August 1st 2009

There's Red America, Blue America and Tinfoil Helmet America. And it looks like the third camp is enormously larger than anyone feared.

A new poll, commissioned by the liberal Web site Daily Kos found that fully 11% of Americans think that Barack Obama wasn't born in the United States. And another 12% said that they are unsure.

The doubters are heavily concentrated in the Republican Party, according to pollsters. An amazing 58% of the surveyed Republicans questioned whether Obama, in fact, entered the world in Hawaii.

What this means: Millions of Americans suspect or are convinced that Obama, son of a Kenyan father, is not a citizen and thus cannot legitimately serve as President. And no Hawaiian birth certificate or newspaper announcement from the time will convince them otherwise.

Who are these people? They're the ones whose feet are not planted on U.S. soil - or any soil.

If they owned the document, they wouldn’t care then what Obama wants, in keeping it hidden.

Ummm... have you heard what the Free Republic definition of troll is? It’s really simple and works for everyone. It’s like this...

— A troll is someone who doesn’t agree with my opinion and has the audacity to say so! —

Yep, that’s it, and it works for 100% of the FReepers on this board. And I can tell it works for you, too... LOL...

You need to, as the other poster suggested, look up Fiduciary duty of the President

They own the document but they don’t control the “information” release... you are the one who controls the information release according to the privacy laws in effect and who they say has a right to the “information”...

The fact that ANYONE has any legitimate and unanswered questions about his eligibility means that he has “failed to qualify”.

As far as I can understand it, that means Joe Biden is now our president.

That’s what it says in black and white!

1000 silverlings,

I am as frustrated as you are. I am raging against the basic unfairness of it all. We have a Constitution, and a forthright, honorable, and honest president would not be thumbing his nose at it.

Ok..I agree with Star Traveler that we should have states pass laws demanding proof of eligibility. After we fix this what will the Marxists think to do next? It's like chasing a roach around the kitchen. Those of us who revere our traditions run around legally blocking off access to one abuse only to find that the Marxists scurry to find another way to tear down the system.

Ultimately, our experiment in self-rule is built upon a foundation of honest good will, and a forthright desire to make it work. There is no possible way to write enough laws that are sufficiently tight enough to corral evil people who desire to destroy the system.

My epiphany was the 2000 election recount in Florida. It was then that I realized that we were dealing with hard core Marxists. From then on I will not have a Marxist for a friend. This includes **all** Democrats, most independents, and a few Republicans. They are too stupid or too evil for me to have them for a friend.

I pray for God's grace on this nation. I pray for a revival. I pray that honest and capable leaders will emerge who will defend the Constitution and our freedom.

Yeah,.... Star Traveler is right. There appears to be no legal means to force Obama to prove that he is a natural born citizen. When we fix this one problem the Marxists will still be inside our gates, and our nation will still be just as threatened by evil as before.

You can argue until you are blue in the face with Star Traveler.

Constitution? That old thing?

Seems to be his/her response every time it’s pointed out that the requirement to be president has to be proved.

But hey! What do we know?

Just cause we’ve read and understood it, doesn’t mean a thing to he/she/it!

Your “compelling” doesn’t seem to be getting the birth certificate... it’s been about one year now that I know of people “compelling”...

How many years do you figure that this will take? LOL...

I go by “real life results” — as opposed to “what should be”...

And that’s the big conflict that many have here, on this issue. It just comes down to *what is legally required* — no matter what you think “ought to be”...

Once you can get that into your head (and said respectfully about that), then you know what needs to be done...

It's officially Obama's and again he has a fiduciary (based on the Latin for trust to show us the basis for his qualification.

Wiki

A fiduciary duty is a legal or ethical relationship of confidence or trust between two or more parties, most commonly a fiduciary or trustee and a principal or beneficiary.

One party, for example a corporate trust company or the trust department of a bank, holds a fiduciary relation or acts in a fiduciary capacity to another, such as one whose funds are entrusted to it for investment. In a fiduciary relation one person justifiably reposes confidence, good faith, reliance and trust in another whose aid, advice or protection is sought in some matter. In such a relation good conscience requires one to act at all times for the sole benefit and interests of another, with loyalty to those interests.

“ A fiduciary is someone who has undertaken to act for and on behalf of another in a particular matter in circumstances which give rise to a relationship of trust and confidence.[1] ”

A fiduciary duty[1] is the highest standard of care at either equity or law. A fiduciary (abbreviation fid) is expected to be extremely loyal to the person to whom he owes the duty (the "principal"): he must not put his personal interests before the duty, and must not profit from his position as a fiduciary, unless the principal consents. The word itself comes originally from the Latin fides, meaning faith, and fiducia, trust.

In English common law the fiduciary relation is arguably the most important concept within the portion of the legal system known as equity

What “brings this home” for everyone (including you and me) — is simply — “Why are you not looking at his birth certificate right now?”

So he doesn’t... then he’s the biggest loser because no one, no one, will trust him and he will become a despised little man

You said — So he doesn’t... then he’s the biggest loser because no one, no one, will trust him and he will become a despised little man

I think you have to be more accurate than that and more in tune with the reality of the situation.

When you say “no one will trust him” — what you actually mean is that no conservative will trust him. As it turns out, the liberals have already trusted him and elected him by about 10 million more of them than us. So, it’s not the “no one” that you are claiming...

And another consideration in that “trust” factor that you bring up — just remember, if Obama did show his birth certificate right now and sent a copy to every conservative — I don’t think a single conservative would be trusting him...

In other words — if he *does not* show his birth certificate, no conservative will trust him — and — if he *does* show his birth certificate no conservative will trust him.

The trust won’t happen *no matter what he does*....

“Trust” is a *non-factor* as far as conservatives are concerned (i.e., they won’t “trust” no matter what), and thus it’s *not compelling* for him....

So, since you’ve just *affirmed* to me that you can’t get it that way (because of $970,000), through the courts — so ... are you now ready to try the state law making it mandatory, or else he cannot be on the ballot in that state?
