There's Red America, Blue America and Tinfoil Helmet America. And it looks like the third camp is enormously larger than anyone feared.
A new poll, commissioned by the liberal Web site Daily Kos found that fully 11% of Americans think that Barack Obama wasn't born in the United States. And another 12% said that they are unsure.
The doubters are heavily concentrated in the Republican Party, according to pollsters. An amazing 58% of the surveyed Republicans questioned whether Obama, in fact, entered the world in Hawaii.
What this means: Millions of Americans suspect or are convinced that Obama, son of a Kenyan father, is not a citizen and thus cannot legitimately serve as President. And no Hawaiian birth certificate or newspaper announcement from the time will convince them otherwise.
Who are these people? They're the ones whose feet are not planted on U.S. soil - or any soil.
I concur but the hard heads keep plugging away.
I realize that they have said that — but I’m saying that if you want to require a “Democrat” to show his birth certificate — you’re not going to get the Democratic Party to do it...
What you need is a state law enacted that requires the candidate to show his birth certificate or else he cannot be placed on the ballot of that state.
Then it doesn’t make any difference what the Democratic Party says...

And I am telling you that the parties are ALREADY responsible to vet them and they LIED.
You said — I dont remember quite this much hand wringing over the 9/11 conspiracies.

It’s because some people actually *went insane* on November 5th, and they’ve lost all ability to remain connected to the real world.
If they were, they would know that all it takes to make a candidate show his birth certificate, is to get a state law enacted to that effect... :-)
Let the Supreme Court determine whether he gets kick out of office and let Congress and the voters live up to the Constitution. Bush got dragged to the Supreme Court and the Left claimed he was an illegitimate President for 8 years even after they ruled in his favor.
I agree. Maybe I’m just old fashioned, but I don’t believe that just because a bunch of people say he was born in Hawaii, that it means he actually was. Just saying something is doesn’t make it so. If I have to prove who I am every time I go somewhere, why doesn’t he? They oughtn’t even have to pass a law to require it, it’s common sense.
Well, the very evident problem here — which a whole lot of people stumble all over — is that no one has any proof of that lie...
Then the next thing they stumble all over is by saying if Obama would show his birth certificate, then they would have the proof...
However, they *keep stumbling* by not realizing that there is *no legal requirement* for a candidate to show his birth certificate...
And then the *last place they stumble around* — is by not being *sane enough* to realize that they could solve *this whole thing* — by getting a state law enacted, requiring a candidate to show his birth certificate...
I have to go mow the lawn. I'll be back.
that's because he is acting like he wasn't born in the USA. Stop hiding the truth.
Well the problem is his honesty, we know now that he lies easily and effortlessly
I don’t give a DAMN what he swore under oath!
The man has LIED since day one and you believe him because he SWORE he was a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN??
BULLSHIT!
When you gonna stop shilling for OBAMA and start standing up for freedom and the CONSTITUTION?
Cause from my point of view, and others on here, you sure a doing an upstanding job of pimping for him!
Enter the birthers.
Funny they're now really writing stories about this.
You said — They oughtnt even have to pass a law to require it, its common sense.

And right there — many get caught up in that word — “ought”...
It has nothing to do with “ought” but with what is *required by law*... and that’s what’s going to make it happen... hence — get a state law to that effect...
Mind you — your “ought” — has gotten everyone *absolutely nowhere*..., but a state law would *put an end to it*...
—
Let me point out one more thing about “ought”... that’s what “elections” are for — in order for people to vote on what “ought” to be done. And in the instance of Obama, about 10 million more people than conservatives did not thing that your “ought” — mattered... and that was the election.
So, “ought” is off the table... and now it’s “legally required” which is on the table, in the way of a state law.
And so, how is “getting the birth certificate” working for you these days? Let me guess... getting absolutely nowhere...
So, why aren’t you working for that state law making it mandatory?
There’s Red America, Blue America and Tinfoil Helmet America.
Evidently, anyone who still believes that quaint document, the constitution, actually means what it says has now been relegated to ‘tinfoil helmet America.’

So, how does that related to the fact that there is *no legal requirement* for a candidate to produce a birth certificate? And how is that going to affect you working on a state law making it mandatory?
Getting a state law about illegal immigration and birth certificates and employers worked just fine in Oklahoma. And so I’m sure it will work just fine with a candidate.
There’s no doubt it will work a whole lot better than standing there screaming about it...
You have no idea what that money was spent for. Show me the bills, and I'll consider it.
