Angered by TV ad campaigns being run against him by liberal Democrats pushing for government run health care reform, Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) threatened that he and his fellow conservative Democrats would be forced to kill the health care reform deal reached by House Democrats if the ads continued.
Nelson's office said the pro-health care reform attack ads "backfired," prompting "hundreds of Nebraskans to call our offices, with 9 to 1 urging Senator Nelson to do exactly the opposite of what the special interest group wanted."
Continuing to keep up the pressure, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee responded in a statement, saying that they "will be increasing our Nebraska ad buy on Monday morning."
Above is an ad being run in Nebraska that is at the heart of Senator Nelson's statement. Both referred to statements can be seen below.

AMEN!
I have written too him twice and will be visiting his offices soon to voice my opinions (respectfully).
Put a knife in its heart, Sen. Nelson. Save your country. Just because it’s the right thing to do.
Get everyone you know to call and you can do two free faxes a day at www.faxzero.com.
This man could be one of the great American heroes in the history of the Republic. I hope he understands that.
LOL!!
The liberals have a problem when their ads bring about calls to congress against what they are advocating because of the messenger.
Keep on talking ‘Move On’, please keep up the good work!
The Left is still its own worst enemy.
Go Ben, Go!
And this is from the side that WANTS Obamacare. Wait till he feels the full weight of OUR side!
it is interesting that he says he will only kill the legislation if the attacks do not stop. not because his constituents are against it 9 to 1, but because he does not like the attack ads. so....if the ads stop, will he ignore the voters who elected him and help pass the abomination?
someone needs to get in touch with the insurance agent of this guy in the spot and see what the real story is. Methinks this is just another in a long line of fabricated liberal sob stories.
Ben might be popular in my state, but if votes for this, he’ll be enjoying his retirement sooner than expected.
Poor old Mike Snider in Ralston, Nebraska. His rates are allegedly going up, so he wants free stuff from the party, and he wants me to pay for it. Maybe I’ll go to his restaurant and order breakfast. And when the check comes I’ll declare it to be too expensive. “This one’s on the house, right Mike? You gotta think of my kids.” If everyone who passes his place does this, will he get the message? Or are democrats just to thick to even have a clue? Institutionalized selfishness works both ways.
What I don’t understand is if he is getting a 9-1 response, taking into account possible exaggeration maybe 7-3, why he is even considering voting in favor of it.
Nelson (NE) is also on the side of Inhofe on Cap and Trade. I had heard all along that he was favoring the NO vote on healthcare and with the help of progressives who are probably well aware of the same info, he will vote NO. Dems putting pressure on him is going to backfire on them and would encourage the Progressives to keep it up.
For some reason, the liberals cannot get it through their head we are mad at them wanting to control healthcare not that we want their healthcare plan.
I will do it too, and thanks for being proactive!
HA HA HA,
And WE’VE got to advocate for FREE-MARKET policy proposals when we call our reps. in addition to opposing Obamacare!
