An Internet controversy that raged during the presidential campaign has resurfaced in recent weeks, posing more of a threat to Republicans than the intended target, President Barack Obama.
The "birther" movement, as it's called, claims that Obama was not born in Hawaii, but Kenya or Indonesia and therefore is not eligible to be president. The birth certificate that has been released and authenticated by numerous Hawaii state officials is a fraud, they say, and isn't the original anyway.
But after months in relative obscurity, the birthers have muscled their way onto the national stage:
• 11 Republican legislators have endorsed a bill that would require future presidential candidates to submit birth certificates to prove their citizenship.
• The stream of dead-end birther lawsuits took a new twist when the Army rescinded a soldier's deployment orders after he sued on grounds that the orders weren't proper because Obama isn't really commander in chief.

Never mind that Hussein and Hillary both were on the committee to determine if McLame was “natural born.” Hussein agreed it was common sense that the definition by all previous usage meant the child had to have parents who were US citizens. Parents with an “s”. Both mama and papa had to be US citizens. By his own verbal admission, his papa, O Sr., was Kenyan. From Dreams, his papa, O. Sr., was Kenyan. By his COLB, whether real or fake, his papa, O. Sr., is “African.” Bottom line, he is not eligible.

I used to think there was nothing to this...but the more the MSM goes to bat for The Messiah on this...I begin to wonder.
Why not just release the original certificate. The Certificate of Live Birth looks authentic...fine...but why not just release the actual original?

They could just state that and be done with it. The situation wouldn’t change one bit and it would be a dead end.

I think that is the only explanation that makes sense. The carefully worded statement by the Hawaiian official seems to show that what is on file are "vital records" which "verify" that Obama was born in Hawaii. IOW, someone filed an affidavit of live birth sometime after he was born. This can be done 50 years after the birth in order to secure a document for a passport or driver's license, etc. But such a verification is only as good as the word of the person making the verification. It's kind of like when Timothy Geithner "verified" that his income tax forms were "true and correct".
It would not surprise me if the "vital records" were attested to by none other than the Messiah himself.
The flop sweat is more like that Axe anti-perspirant commercial.....where that guy is spraying people with sweat every time his raises his arm.

I love to watch the MSM doing so much to save the Republican Party. It is simply heartwarming. At last we have the MSM, Daily Kos, MoveOn.org, O'Reilly, Medved, Hewitt, FrontPage Mag, Coulter, Democrat Underground, MSNBC, CNN all working together to save the GOP. Am I dreaming? Have we achieved Nirvana? Have we all came together at last? Or is it just maybe that some folks haven't taken the time to actually look at the facts.

We share your appreciation for the dedication of the members of the failing MSM to saving us from ourselves. Who knows what harm might result to the nation if we did not have the anointed to make all our decisions and inquiries for us?

The funny thing is, I found the lack of a Birth Certificate interesting only because the FactCheck document was an obvious forgery. Now that there is this much heat being generated in the State Run Media, I have to assume there is a fire somewhere.

If O was not born in Hawaii and that’s proven later on, the “officials” there should be tried for treason for not releasing the information. I don’t think it would be against the law to expose a fraud. I’ll bet if this was some criminal and the FBI wanted the certificate they’d release it in a heart beat. Or if it was a republican.
Do you have a citation for Obama making that statement. The only thing I can see from the link you provided was a press release from Leahy.
Obama did cosponsor the bill (but, frankly, that could just be obfuscating his tenuous position), but I don’t see any actual STATEMENTS from him.
