Do you believe Obama is hiding or lying about something regarding his origins?
Please elaborate.
In taking an absolutist rather than pragmatic approach to the matter, he’s behaving like a radical or, someone with a chip on his shoulder. On the other hand, his behaviour sure does resemble that of a person trying to hide something.
Absolutely I believe he’s hiding something or lying about something. I see no other possible explanation for his behavior.
Yes, Obama is hiding something, and as someone else said in this poll, the Democratic Party knows it. No one pays approx one million dollars in lawyer fees to conceal their birth certificate in America.
Why would his paternal grandmother in Kenya lie? Some Kenyans spoke freely about Obama’s Kenyan birth until they learned the US Constitution said the President had to be a Natural-born “American”, not a natural-born Kenyan.
He is the first person elected to the office of president where we don’t have clear answers about his identity. In this regard, the taking of an oath to uphold the Constitution has become a meaningless gesture under Obama. Why, because States, like Hawaii, which is controlled by Democrats, obviously place a higher priority on concealing Obama’s corruption than upholding the Constitution.
I believe that Hawaii passed the bill that proclaimed Obama a natural born American because of the Lawsuit filed by Orly Taitz. The courts will rely on that legislative statement as fact, and probably dismiss her cases.
Nonetheless, all this makes me believe that Obama was not natural-born, and thus not qualified for the presidency. I believe that he is a fraud.

Yes, I believe he’s hiding something. But what?
What sort of people go to elaborate lengths to conceal or reinvent their pasts? On another thread someone suggested that only criminals and con men would do such things. Does BO have an (expunged) criminal record?
Others have suggested BO’s cloaked past indicates CIA connections. Is he a federally-protected witness of some sort?
BO’s willingness to be very free and loose with his past (regarding how his parents met, how he met his wife, etc.) casts suspicion on everything else he does or says. I find it deeply disturbing that he apparently does not have any sense of public accountability for his words and actions. This is a man without a firm center of any sort. He does not seem to know who he is much of the time. He is a “citizen of the world.” He is everywhere and nowhere. He is everyone and no one.
If his allegiances are to countries other than our own, that does not bode well for our national security.
I don’t know if he was born in Hawai’i. I don’t know if he’s an Indonesian citizen.
Whatever his origins, we can’t afford to have such a person leading us.
I don’t believe his vagueness is necessarily part of a long-term plan to discredit “birthers” and make conservatives look crazy. I think it’s a personal identity problem (too bad that the at age of 48 he hasn’t yet figured out who he is) and unfortunately the nation is bearing the brunt of it.
Regarding his state senate race and how he arranged to have the court unseal his rival’s (Ryan) divorce records, BO can certainly understand and appreciate how personal data can be used to derail a political career.
We must have a Constitutionally-eligible President, and it looks as if we’ll have to head to SCOTUS to see just what “natural born citizen” means.

Yes. He’s hiding something. We heard the story of 5 year old Obama stating in kindergarten that he wanted to be president one day-—an ambition he wouldn’t have, obviously, if he didn’t think he was American, right? Or the offhand reference to his birth certificate and other papers in his ‘auto-biography’. Right. All of this is window dressing to hide the fact that, like his sister, he has a Hawaiian COLB. And who is the Health Director to state that Soetoro is a ‘natural born citizen’? That’s just his opinion. Tell us instead what the particulars are that made him come to that conclusion.

Yes, I do believe he is hiding something regarding his origins. If he isn't hiding something, he would whip out the truth, actual birth certificate, for all to see.

Obama’s first act as President EXECUTIVE ORDER 13489 banning release of any of his records. Now does this sound like open Government to you. He’s hiding something big, that disqualifies his as POTUS, not something like a stupid grade he may have made at Harvard or that his mom and dad were never married. He is not the legitimate President, no way no how. NMP

Yes, I believe he’s hiding many things, from his birth through his college days and beyond.
It seems there’s something in the certificate he doesn’t want known. It may be about citizenship, or perhaps about his father. With the suspicions he’s created, ANYTHING is possible, including a biological connection to his mother and Malcolm X.

is to say the least very odd.
I think conservatives don't necessarily have to raise the question about whether he is natural born or not, but always, in every discussion with liberals, just ask why they think Obama is withholding all those documents.
Most liberals don't know that he hasn't released these documents. And whereas his birth place will remain a conjecture until his long BC is released - and maybe even after that, depending on what kind of evidence support his BC (doctor's signature or just information from his grand-parents - the fact that these documents are not released is a proven fact, something that is actually confirmed by Obama’s own campaign.
