Everyone’s gonna want a piece of Sarah for the next two years.

Not sure if that’s good or bad, but I’m sure she’ll be HIGHLY selective as to WHO she is seen with and which Republicans (no RINOs, Sarah!) she supports along her path to The White House. :)

See, I knew it, people put her names on events that she has not even committed to attending. This is exactly what the media wanted, to say “See, she flaked out of another event” when in reality she NEVER said she was attending

Additionally, all invitations bearing the Governor’s name must be approved by her attorney before proceeding.

I find this part VERY interesting. She's being really careful right now.

Why would this be announced through a social networking site?

“not by the invitee”....are they saying that Sarah cannot agree to do something without the OK of this othere woman.....

Is she now a hostage?

This begins to look very unorganized and even incompetent after a time. It reminds me of all the delays and rumors and false starts of Fred Thompson’s campaign. I know I saw it said on FR on several occasions that Sarah would speak at the Reagan Library event.

Making excuses, and spinning everything as some grand strategy, will only sound plausible to Sarah’s biggest supporters, similar to the weeks of excuses we got from the Fredheads.

They need to get their act together.

I love Sarah Palin to death and this is probably the first time I’ve been let down. I always looked at her as a female Reagan so not going to this event is a big disappointment. Whether she agreed originally to go or not....I read she was going and thought it would be great to be associated with Reagan.

Not again.

People are getting tired of this will she attend or won’t she.

First, CPAC said Palin will be attending. Then Palin said no and issued a taped speech to CPAC instead.

The fundraiser for House and Senate Republicans. Sarah PAC confirmed to DC Republicans that Sarah will attend. Then Palin AK staff said she won’t attend. A lot of DC Republicans were upset and got John Voight and Newt Gingrich instead.

Now the Reagan library no show.

People will find these “Will she go or won’t she” actions tiresome.

Palin needs to better manage situations. She needs a new staff.

Here we go again. Another big event where Palin doesn’t show up. Perhaps, the Washington Post is right about calling Palin’s staff as the gang that can’t shoot straight. These “maybe I’ll attend” answers she gives are making conservatives to lose patience with her. Giving wishy washy answers that could go either way, allows rumors to fester. Palin needs to show leadership and give definite answers on whether she’ll be attending events or not.

This is very disappointing. It seemed like the perfect stepping out party. Wonder where she will debut.

Maybe she can do a video message, or teleconference for the Reagan Library to ease the situation.

We will all know on August 8th if she actually makes it to the event.

In my Email exchanges with one of the sponsoring groups board members, the woman was very clear that Governor Palin MAY attend.

All event requests must be confirmed not by the invitee but rather

???

Sarah can't confirm these things herself? This doesn't make any sense.

I wrote the Simi Valley Republican women and asked for an invite to this event. They said it would be $150 per person and no guarantee that I’d actually get into the specific area to see Sarah - the implication was that I might end up outside or something.

Turns out I have a wedding to attend that same day so it was a moot point for me but my thought is that a bunch of people put up the $ and now no Sarah. OY VEY! I wouldn’t want to be answering questions for the Simi Valley women tomorrow.

Look, it’s better for her to go underground for a little while so that her return has more punch. Everything she does is going to be maligned. She can rise above everything that is thrown at her by speaking effectively and by running. Sarah will get a lot of votes in the primaries and beyond if she runs. As far as twitter, that shows she is smart enough to embrace new ways of communicating. The media and the establishment knows damn well that is she can get into the primaries in one piece she will get a hell of a lot of votes, plain and simple.

Although the Simi group communicated,” While Governor Palin is slated to speak, the possibility does exist that she may not be able to attend, and reservations are non-refundable”, the invitation clearly announces, “An Evening with Governor Sarah Palin” accompanied by an image of Sarah Palin. It convinced me. So I guess we will find out on August 8th whether the Simi group mislead those of us who “paid up” or the the Sarah Team is misleading the press for her protection.

I doubt that the SV group would put her name on the invite w/o at least some indication that she mught attend. Her appearance was been widely reported in SoCal media for a while and SP should’ve given a yeah or nay a long time ago. If she can’t demonstrate that she can run Sarah Inc., her cred is going to shrink dramatically. I say this as a fervent supporter.

BTW I don’t know why she wouldn’t want to speak at the Reagan Library for her first post-governor appearance. What a better setting.
