As repeatedly stated to several in the media over the last week, former Governor Sarah Palin is not committed to attend the Simi Valley Republican Women’s event at the Reagan Library and in fact is not attending the event. Neither the Governor’s state staff nor SarahPAC has ever committed to attending this event or speaking at this event, and even requested that the Governor's name be removed from the invitation several weeks ago. The Governor has other work and commitments to take care of at that time. She looks forward to visiting her friends in California soon.
All event requests must be confirmed not by the invitee but rather through Meghan Stapleton with SarahPAC. Additionally, all invitations bearing the Governor’s name must be approved by her attorney before proceeding.

Good catch, DanZanRyu is a concern troll. But he is a Huckabee anti-Palin troll not Romney, he is here to take out Palin and Jindal and any other conservative that he can bring down, Crist and Pawlenty are also on his favorable list.
I wrote the Simi Valley Republican women and asked for an invite to this event. They said it would be $150 per person and no guarantee that I’d actually get into the specific area to see Sarah - the implication was that I might end up outside or something.
Turns out I have a wedding to attend that same day so it was a moot point for me but my thought is that a bunch of people put up the $ and now no Sarah. OY VEY! I wouldn’t want to be answering questions for the Simi Valley women tomorrow.
I talked to someone who called them, they told her that they “hoped” Sarah would be attending..”Hoped” sounds more like wishful thinking to me. They jumped the gun and the media went with it. The way I see it is this, if it doesn’t come out of her mouth, it’s not happening. I knew something was up when she never mentioned it on her twitter page or her facebook page or anything, not the slightest mention so I knew that she was not going. John Ziegler is going, he said repeatedly that he does not believe that she is going, because she never confirmed it, and that this was a set-up by the media because they wanted to portray her as a flake, not going to another event. Tammy Bruce is going, she has also said repeatedly on her radio show that Sarah has not committed to going to this event and she will probably not be going but she hopes she does. This teaches everyone to wait for official word before jumping the gun
Look, it’s better for her to go underground for a little while so that her return has more punch. Everything she does is going to be maligned. She can rise above everything that is thrown at her by speaking effectively and by running. Sarah will get a lot of votes in the primaries and beyond if she runs. As far as twitter, that shows she is smart enough to embrace new ways of communicating. The media and the establishment knows damn well that is she can get into the primaries in one piece she will get a hell of a lot of votes, plain and simple.

Thanks for you and a few others for clearing this up and bringing the truth.
Next time, maybe Sarah’s PR person can send an email to Fox News also. At least maybe Fox would have mentioned the story weeks ago saying she had not confirmed to appear at the event, and this misunderstanding would have been avoided.
Greta would most likely have shot down the rumors early on. Hope they will consider notifying Fox in the future.
Do you have Palin’s current Twitter name? She stopped posting under her AKGov handle or whatever it was.

go into drama mode.
And somewhat Palin supporters wrongly blame her PR.
Sarah was not available for the Simi event period.
The Simi people leading on folks otherwise.
Palin and her people stated the case.
It is Simi who needs to get front people who

Although the Simi group communicated,” While Governor Palin is slated to speak, the possibility does exist that she may not be able to attend, and reservations are non-refundable”, the invitation clearly announces, “An Evening with Governor Sarah Palin” accompanied by an image of Sarah Palin. It convinced me. So I guess we will find out on August 8th whether the Simi group mislead those of us who “paid up” or the the Sarah Team is misleading the press for her protection.
Are you talking about her marked up speech? Yes, they are on the attack with it, but they also provide a clear example of the professional support she needs to go prime-time and restore her image. It’s part of the overall upgrade required of her PR staff and function.

The Reagan Library would be a great venue for Palin. There must be something going on behind the scenes that let the air out of the potential appearance.

I just searched her name on twitter; there a LOT of threads that are critical of her...the Obama cult is hard at work trying to save their messiah.
Look at who's in the White House, and how he got there.
Then get back to us on that one.
