Hawaii's Statement on Obama Birth Record Breaks lLaw?
wnd.com ^ | July 28, 2009 | Jerome R. Corsi

Responding to the growing controversy over the White House's refusal to release President Obama's original long-form birth certificate, Hawaii's director of health issued a statement yesterday about the document in apparent contravention of Hawaiian law.

Dr. Chiyome Fukino declared she has seen the "original birth records" that verify Obama was born in Hawaii and is a "natural-born American citizen," the Honolulu Advertiser reported.

But in two separate telephone interviews with WND, Janice Okubo, the Health Department's public information officer, told WND that Hawaii law prohibited her from commenting on the birth records of any specific person.

Okubo cited Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 338-18, which pertains to "Disclosure of Records."

That section of Hawaii state law states regarding the release of vital statistics records, "The department shall not permit inspection of public health statistics records, or issue a certified copy of any such record or part thereof, unless it is satisfied that the applicant has a direct and tangible interest in the record."

WND asked Okubo last night how Fukino could comment on Obama's particular birth records without violating the statute.

"I'm not a legal authority, and you'd have to talk to someone who is a legal authority," Okubo said. "I don't have that kind of legal expertise." Corsi: Doesn't this seem to be a discrepancy from what you told me earlier today?

In a previous interview, Okubo also refused to answer a direct question from WND about whether Obama's original long-form birth certificate still was on file with the Hawaii DOH, responding: "I cannot comment on any specific vital statistics records belonging to any individual because that is against the law in Hawaii."

Ok, so now does this settle the issue once and for all???

it doesn't, you're just supposed to believe it does.

-----

Dr. Chiyome Fukino didn't violate anything the first time. She merely stated he had a birth certificate on file.

This time, however, is different.

She disclosed information. IF she has written permission by O however, she's in the clear....BUT- she still has NO authority to proclaim him a natural-born citizen.

Barry could have been born in Canada and registered by his grandmother or mother in Hawaii and there would be a document to substantiate what Fukino said. She may not have been shown the ancillary documentation (that was removed from kindergarten files which would have come from Hawaiian vaults when Barry was enrolled in kindergarten). [His henchgoons have removed/pilfered/stolen/absconded the particuluar kindergarten file, BTW.]

I haven’t even seen a baptism certificate either but I’ve heard numerous times that he supposedly was raised by an agnostic mother and non-observant muslim fathers as a “Christian”.

If you say so ... your guess is as good as mine.

Excerpt from attorney Orly Taitz letter to Congress:

“There is plenty of evidence of Mr. Obama being born in Kenya and obtaining his Hawaiian birth certificate based on a statement of his grandparent only, who simply didn’t want to deal with immigration and not based on any records from any hospitals. Extensive searches in the State of Hawaii showed no birthing records for his mother [Stanley] Ann Dunham in any hospital in Hawaii.”

Why not? Sounds to me like she's just the person to declare (again) that this is a non-issue.

I think you hit on it. My working theory is Barry has an original cert that states he was born in HI but based on testimony of some sort rather than actual hospital records. That would explain why he won’t release the original even though Fukino says everything matches up.

Fukino’s statement was very carefully worded. Also, in Hawaii, one’s grandparents could get a birth certificate even if the mother were out of the country.

Didn’t his grandparents and parents have friends? Surely they must have discussed the circumstances of his birth with somebody over the years. What is known about his mother’s travels around that time?

Good point! After his mom dropped out of the University of Hawaii during the fall of 1960 because she was pregnant, I have not heard anything about where she was. The only thing out is that Obama’s grandmother was present when he was born in Kenya.

After his birth, his mom went and enrolled into the University of Washington for the fall of 1961.
